As A Mother Yourself, You Should Know What Goes Above Everything

The dishes cooked by Old Madam Hokama were all flavorful and tasty. They reminded Mrs. Saeki of the ones prepared by Mr. Hokama during that dinner last week.

"Yasumi, have more," Old Madam Hokama kept piling up side dishes on the small plate next to Mrs. Saeki's rice bowl, "You're skinny ah. You should eat more."

"Ah, thanks... Mother."

Mrs. Saeki shyly ate everything that the older lady gave her. Mr. Hokama and his father helplessly stared at their interaction.

They didn't talk much during lunch. Mrs. Saeki felt her tummy was so full. She was used to a small portion of meals, unlike what Old Madam Hokama kept giving her.

After lunch, Mrs. Saeki wanted to help with the dishes but the two elderly insisted that they didn't need her help. Instead, Old Madam Hokama brought up a request.

"Yasumi, can this old mother has a moment with you?"

Despite being flustered, Mrs. Saeki agreed.
