Chisaka Hisaki and Saeki Heisuke only met each other in the latter half of their lives. Deep scars wounded their hearts yet, they found comfort and healing in each other.

The younger Heisuke almost accidentally killed someone due to his thirst for revenge. Despite escaping death row, he still suffered a decade in prison.

After her initial plan succeeded, she finally met him!

The quiet young man was really him. Even though he didn't show it to anyone, she knew how soft and colorful his heart was; as soft as cotton candy, as colorful as the balls of yarns. 

Heisuke eyed the new girl in town with suspicions but, his heart felt strange. It went doki-doki.

For Our Happier Path

Heisuke's sprained left ankle and right arm healed entirely after one week of returning to Kaagawa City. He still had another free week before resumed working.

Hisaki made sure that Heisuke got all the attention he needed. She prepared more nutritious food for him, reminded him not to forget to consume the medicine and checked on him regularly.

Heisuke visited the doctor at Kaagawa City General Hospital twice this week. Because Hisaki worked, he was accompanied by his mother.

There, the doctor mentioned that there were no signs of distress or his condition worsening, much to everyone's relief.

Hisaki appeared at the bedroom door, looking at Heisuke who was wearing a jacket over his shirt. The lovebirds exchanged a smile.

"Just a bit," Heisuke smoothened the lapel of his jacket while heading to Hisaki, "We can go now."

She Didn't Want To Impose All Her Previous Memories On The Current Him
