I see through her mind

Édouard decided to tell Aurora about that part of his life when for the first time, he saw Charlotte. He was a teenager at that time. At that age, usually, the feelings would grow for a person rapidly and even would end the second moment. However, it did not happen with Édouard.

"The first time I saw Charlotte was when I was seventeen. From that time, I fell for her and she was the only woman in my mind," Édouard asserted.

"How is that possible?" Aurora questioned.

"Why can it not be possible?" Édouard replied.

Aurora turned silent again and clutched the fabric of her gown.

"I sincerely apologize for hurting your feelings, Aurora. I never saw you as a woman for me. For me, you were always Kenric's younger sister and still are. I might have shown my concern to you when you had fallen or got injured, but that was as a sense of your elder brother. I should have been careful of my actions."
