"Please forgive us, Tove. We never intended to cause you any harm. The constraints of social class are significant, and it's a battle none of us can easily overcome. I can't bear the thought of my son being separated from me, especially when he's expressed that he wouldn't find happiness in this marriage," Jane apologized to Tove.

Should we visit them once you've recovered from this injury, or would you prefer if we invite them here? We're open to whatever you think is best," she expressed in a humble tone.

"Please, Lady Jane, there's no need for apologies. I never anticipated these complications. You don't owe me any apologies either," Tove replied earnestly.
