Propose a marriage

Tove alighted from the carriage and spotted her father in the front yard, clutching an axe. His expression held a bewildering blend of surprise and disquiet as he beheld the unanticipated gathering of carriages and nobles before their unassuming home. When Tove emerged fully into his sight, his confusion intensified.

"Tove," he set the axe aside and hurried toward her.

Tove extended her greetings to her father before broaching the topic of her employment with the Laverick family. Without delay, her father cast his gaze downward and inquired whether Tove had caused any trouble.

Rainard, slightly puzzled by Tove's father's reaction, began to wonder if his message hadn't been conveyed clearly. He made his way toward him, determined to engage in a conversation.
