Pre-Marital problems
Drew POV
Although she was set on doing the event here, I would at least try to make it mine, too. I couldn't go home, but I would bring it here. I was going to get my moment with her under the sun; even if it killed me.
She spent a whole afternoon calling different venues, trying to find something open for a date within the next few weeks. She wanted to not look pregnant in our wedding photos, and I wanted to do this before the baby was born. So to meet both of those requirements, we had to do it now. Talking to pop about the baby and the wedding was easy the first time, but soon after, when it was just him and I, he started asking the hard questions.
Growing up, I was a Catholic, just like the rest of my family. These days, didn't much care for religious views, but I tried my best to humor my father out of respect. But this time, he wanted us to go through the family priest for Convalidation. To me, this was a huge ask.
