Authorities

Raining heavily on the streets, a lone figure was hastily dashing through the rain as their cloak fluttered due to their speed

Making a few turns for every corner, the figure finally reached a building that had a door at the back.

The cloaked figure entered casually.

Inside, the person took off their hood, revealing Daleth who had another mask. Yes, with Isaac's permission, she threw away her old mask and made a new one.

Isaac didn't really care. As long as she isn't identified, then it was fine. As for Daleth, she personally crafted it from the best materials possible.

Now, her mask which covers half of her face is exquisitely designed, one may even mistake it for a luxurious item made for the aristocrats.

Her hair was slightly wet but she did not mind it.

She walked and found stairs leading down to the basement of the building.

Walking down, she was met with a basement that had no light. Daleth moved to the side and pulled a lever that seemed to have activated a special mechanism.

Daleth then moved a long table to the side and found an open trapdoor that had a wooden ladder leading down.

She didn't take the ladder and instead just jumped down.

Landing on a hard floor, she walked forward until she finally found a room that had a light source and two men discussing something on a table.

Seeing Daleth walk in, the red-haired young man wearing a red vest got notified of her. "You're here, Frosty."

Daleth nodded to, of course, none other than Alec. She then looked at the tall man beside him looking at the table which had a bit of scribble.

He had light-blue colored hair which was tied to the back of his head. As for his clothing, in contrast with Alec who looked like a highly proficient merchant, and Daleth who wore very concealing clothing, Kreuzlied wore clothes that made him look like part of the aristocracy.

Seeing Daleth, he spoke to her with a firm tone. "How was your investigation?"

"The same." Daleth replied with no change in her posture. "It seems like Lord Lawrence really did try to make a contract with Rex Lapis."

"Unfortunately, it failed and some of their men that were sent to Liyue either got killed or heavily injured by the Adepti for being provocative." Daleth shared her investigation.

"I see..." Kreuzlied muttered as he looked at the large paper on the table as he pondered something.

After a few moments, he looked at Alec. "How about you?"

"Nothing much." Alec shrugged. "Besides seeing the slaves get killed in the arena every month, there are no changes at all."

However, as if remembering something, Alec hurriedly added in, "Oh right, there's also an unnamed Gladiator that suddenly appeared."

"He won five consecutive wins in a row and the nobles just love him." Alec leaned against the wall. "As for his owner, it seems to be someone from House Imunlaukr."

"Alright." Kreuzlied said as he picked up a quill and wrote something on the paper.

"Speaking of the Imunlaukr Clan..." Alec suddenly remembered something and looked at Daleth. "How are they doing now? I mean you know... After that incident."

"I never checked." Daleth said, she was now sitting on a chair. "But I believe that they are still recovering after that incident."

"You're probably right..." Alec shrugged

The incident they were talking about was the "Whopperflower Incident" that happened four years ago.

Back then, the Imunlaukr Clan had received support from the other magnates to form a huge expedition to Sal Vindagnyr.

However, when they tried to enter the mountain, a violent snowstorm stopped them.

But because of the size of the expedition as well as their supplies, they managed to get through the snowstorm and barged right into Sal Vindagnyr.

Just as everything was doing fine back then, something unexpected happened.

At first, one cryo whopperflower appeared in front of the first group leading the expedition.

Of course, they slew it without a problem.

However, right after they killed that one Cryo Whopperflower, out of nowhere, dozens started popping out of the ground, surrounding them.

And it was not just them. The other groups that were split up also got cornered by dozens of Cryo Whopperflowers.

If they were all placed in one location... Then the cryo Whopperflowers that appeared that day would amount to hundreds!

That number alone can cause an entire nation to be on high alert.

The leaders of each group immediately initiated a retreat from the mountain. They did not care anymore and just ran frantically out of the snowstorm they entered.

Unfortunately, the soon-to-be heir of the Lawrence Clan, a direct son of Lord Lawrence, "Mysteriously" disappeared while everyone was running amidst the blizzard.

In the end, with the Cryo Whopperflowers just shooting snowballs at the humans, only a few suffered heavy injuries. No one died, but everyone felt the cold that day.

It is not only when in four days will the heir of the Lawrence Clan's body resurface at Falcon Coast, with his left arm cleanly cut off. As for how his fate got to that situation, no one knows.

Of course, these are all the doings of Isaac and company.

But the only problem is that Isaac doesn't know that Daleth killed someone and that she had kept a dead person's arm frozen in ice. As for what she will do with it, it will be useful to her when facing the Lawrence Clan.

It had been four years since that incident and most people of Mondstadt had already heard of it.

The adventurer's guild even labeled the mountain as highly dangerous, and only adventurers above the adventurer rank of 40 are allowed to venture into it.

To which was to Isaac's happiness. At least now, no one can disturb him on his Mountain anymore.

And even if he's always in the Mountain, he can always know more about the outside world through Daleth.

"By the way, Kreuzlied, how was your trip to Snezhnaya?" Alec asked

"Cold." Kreuzlied said with not that much of an expression. "However, the inhabitants were very welcoming."

"Just as with Fontaine and Liyue, I already dispatched a highly reliable group there, so there should be no problem." He said while still focusing on the paper.

Yes, Kreuzlied was planning to expand the organization to Snezhnaya and Fontaine.

As for Liyue, it was already done. There is already a hidden group there under a secret code name called "Jin" that is part of the main organization Kreuzlied, Alec, and Daleth leads.

It took five years, but it was finally done. Slowly but surely, the organization was expanding.

Scribbling a few more words, Kreuzlied looked at the two. "Are there more to report?"

Daleth and Alec both shook their heads, indicating that there are none left.

Seeing this, Kreuzlied nodded. "Alright, continue things as usual."

"It seems like a few caravans are arriving in Mondstadt in a few days." Kreuzlied said. He then looked at Daleth. "Frostine, I believe you already know what to do?"

"Yes." Daleth gave a simple nod.

Seeing this, Kreuzlied also nodded. Looking at Alec and Daleth, he said with a calm tone. "I'll be leaving again in a month, Alec shall temporarily have more power while I'm gone."

"Alright." Daleth simply said. In truth, she really didn't care about who had more authority in the organization.

And yes, different parts of the organization go down to the three of them. Each one of them handles a few things that need to be dealt with within and outside the organization.

Sometimes, if someone is planning to leave Mondstadt for a while, they will temporarily hand down their "Authority" over to the other.

Mostly, it was Alec that goes dumped on with these responsibilities.

"More authority for me, I guess." Alec laughed before sighing.

He then saw Daleth form ice beneath her feet to climb up the room, only for the ice to melt in the next second.

Alec and Kreuzlied also followed and closed the trapped door.

"You heard of it too, right?" Alec whispered to Daleth's ear

"...What?" Daleth eyes him

Alec smiled. "You know, the kid that runs around stealing stuff from the magnates that appeared recently."

"Oh... Him..." Daleth realized but didn't show much of an emotion. "I heard."

He then looked at the departing figure of Kreuzlied. "I bet you're not gonna tell him. Am I right?"

"..." Daleth didn't say anything.

Alec chuckled as he shrugged. "Alright, if you don't want to say it, then I won't too."

"Our Little thief that appeared recently sure is cunning." Alec smiled. "Since he only appears in the night and is depicted as someone unrecognizable with a mask... We should call him..."

"The Phantom Thief." Alec smiled before the two of them exited through different routes of the building to avoid suspicion.
