Chapter 8

I woke up late the next day. It's good that it's Sunday so I have nothing to do. I video call Brent and Inigo last night. We would have been with Aya but she wasn't available maybe she wasn't home yet cause she said that she and her mom would go somewhere yesterday. I stood up out of my bed and then I see Aya's ID at the top of my vanity table. Shoot, I forgot to give it to her yesterday. I'm just gonna give it to her maybe tomorrow. I picked that up and slid to my bag.

After I ate breakfast, I went to my mom's room only to find that she wasn't there. One of the maids said that she left earlier. Did she already came to her senses that agreeing to the divorce requested by dad is the best thing to do? Well, I hope so. Since I don't have nothing to do this Sunday, I decided to just play basketball. I tried calling Brent and Inigo but Brent said that he and his dad are going somewhere and Inigo not picking up his phone. Okay, I guess it's just me and myself today.

After I played basketball for almost one hour, I ate my breakfast. After that I went swimming to relax my self. I was thinking of doing something today but since Inigo and Brent wasn't here I guess I'm gonna play video games I guess. I'm already getting up when I remembered Aya. Right I should call her and ask if she's available so maybe we can go or eat somewhere.

I dialed her phone but she isn't answering maybe she's still asleep or what. What about I just go to their house since I know where it was? Right, In that she can't say no to me.

I immediately took a shower right after I left the pool. I just wear a casual black shirt, a cargo pants and my white nike shoes. I also put cap cause it's already hot outside. I started driving my car heading towards her destination. I also tried contacting her again but still she isn't picking up her phone.

When I finally arrived in front of their house, there was a car outside maybe heading out and she's there outside waving from the guy or girl inside the car? When the car gone I quickly get out of my own and went to her.

"Hey!" I shouted and she immediately turned to me. Her forehead slightly creased as she saw me maybe wondering why am I here.

"Z?" she greeted me. "Why are you here?"

"I was calling you earlier but you isn't picking up your phone so I decided to just visit you here." I said to her.

"But why? Do we have a group study today? I'm sorry I don't read your messages last night cause we went home late" she said explaining to me as if she missed something on our group chat.

"No, I mean we don't have meet-ups today but I just wondering if you could come with me? I am bored in the house cause my mom wasn't there and I tried calling Brent and Inigo but they weren't available so I tried contacting you but since you didn't answering your phone so I just went here" I also explained.

"Ah yeah I'm sorry I left my phone at my room" she said smiling and looking apologetic at me. How cute.

"So are you free today or not? Cause if not it's okay I guess I just gonna go by myself." I said looking as if I was pleasing her.

"No, I can go. I mean I also have nothing to do today so I can accompany you" she said.

"Right. Thank you A" I said smiling at her. She just saved my boredom.

"No problem. You can wait inside if you want. I'm gonna take a bath. I'll be quick." she said inviting me to come with her inside their house.

Their house was nice. It was also a two-story just like ours but ours was bigger. They have garage for maybe two cars can fit. It was a modern design majority white and brown in colors. The inside is bigger than I thought. Maybe she's also this rich like me. There were paintings at the wall and the ceiling has chandelier at the center of the living room. There was also a big painting at the wall with she and her mom I thought. Looking at her mom, I think I knew her cause I saw her maybe once? But I don't remember when and where it's just she seem familiar or maybe just like I thought I was mistaken.

I just sit at the couch on their living room waiting for her to go downstairs. She also has a dog which is now wagging her tail in front of me. I believe it was a bichon frise. I touched her with my right hand and she's just licking my fingers.

"You look cute just like your mom" I told her patting her head and she just barked at me as if she's agreeing with what I said.

Minutes passed and there I saw Aya with her casual look. She just wearing a white crop top, a high-waist shorts and her chuck taylor converse sneaker, her hair was still wet since she just took a bath. She also had her sling bag clinging into her left shoulder.

"Hey Sheena come to me" she called her dog and it was immediately run towards her and she gave it a pat to its head.

"Is she rude to you? I'm sorry" she said apologizing to me.

"No really. Your dog was nice just like you" I said giving her reassuring smile. She's wiping her hair with a towel with a fan in front of her.

"Where's your mom?" I suddenly asked roaming around their house.

"She just left earlier" she said while combing her hair. Maybe that was the car I saw outside earlier.

"She's with your dad?" I continued asking.

"She's with her boyfriend" she said putting down the towel and now looking at the mirror.

"Oh?" I said surprised. Her mom was a single-mom huh?

"Mind if I asked where's your dad?" I asked her still.

"I don't know" she just shrugged.

"I grew up not knowing who's my father and where is he. Mom said that he's gone somewhere but I never know" she added. Maybe her dad left her and her mom when she was still a kid.

"So she and her boyfriend would have been around for a long time? I asked feeling intrigue about her personal life.

"Since I was 12, I guess? she said not sure. We're just the same. My dad cheated on my mom when I was 12.

"And you're okay with him" I asked her still feeling intrigue.

"As if I had a choice. He's nice and as long as he makes my mom happy, I'll be happy for them" she said while pony tailing her hair. Maybe if mom would just have her new boyfriend like her mom will be better than staying with dad who's just gonna hurt her repeatedly.

"Let's go?" she asked finally finished on what her doing.
