Chapter 23

Two days have passed and the prince still seething. After all these years and still his father tormenting him. He doesn’t care about this kingdom or being a king, he already was, but the old man was enjoying this stupidity.

He loved watching his own children fight among themselves. Even though he knew that they might end up killing each other, he didn’t care if all of them died. He wanted to leave as soon as possible, but he couldn’t. He must spend at least a week in this dreadful place; he growled deeply.

He wanted out of this damned city.

Adadanu drew nearer, taking tentative steps. He sneered, forcing him to halt.

“I’m not in the right mind now brother, stay away from me.” His warning was true because at this moment he wasn’t fighting only himself, he was fighting his own demons.

They rose from their stomper to attack him again. He thought he had buried his past, and it was forgotten, but his father declaration was a blow to his mind’s fragile peace.
