Chapter Twenty One

Stew was not happy, with either their arrangement, nor the situation, but he was glad Neil was willing to take this seriously. They discussed a few other things-like having the others bring in groceries and agreeing to let the ladies take Sally out for a shopping day-maybe with either Neil or Jake to tag along before Neil headed out. He grabbed a couple of books, some clothes, and his favorite chess board, before heading back to the speak. Sally was quietly putting chairs onto the floor as the others worked around them. Vinny was setting up one of the billiards tables, ensuring someone would play a game, and Roland was in an interestingly quiet discussion with Clifton at the bar.

“…it is the right push.”

“She’s admitted it to the girls. It’s him.”

“This is why I think he is making a mistake.”
