'Mercy, I just asked you if this was the friend you had come to visit? Didn't you hear me the first time round or don't you wish to answer my question?'he asked.
'Yes sir, I am the one she came to visit', Felix volunteered.
'I didn't ask you any question young man. You are not my daughter and your name is not Mercy, is it?' he asked. Felix looked into his cold eyes and for the first time he felt fear for himself.
The man had actually given him a warning with his eyes.
'Dad, he is the one I came to visit. You did say we could be platonic friends', Mercy reminded her father.
Mercy was surprised that her father had been on foot. Where was his car? This was not the time to ask such a mundane question.
