One Hundred and Ten

The next day, Mercy got up early to start all that she needed to do. She got everything prepared and ready.

Mary just looked at her and laughed silently.

'You will be shocked and miserable at the end of this day', she thought to herself referring to her sister Mercy.

When it was the and Felix's presence was announced, Mercy was besides herself with tension and anxiety.

She had been able to do her work only due to the nervous energy the meeting between her love and her father had scheduled to have.

Mr. Eze was informed of Felix' presence but he took his time coming out.

Felix waited and waited untill Mr. Eze finally came into the living room.

'Good day sir', he greeted.

'Good evening my boy', he said and patted Felix's back. Felix was surprised at this show of affection and didn't know whether to be happy or wary.

All their encounter, Mercy's father had never been demonstrative towards him so he felt that there was something up his sleeve.
