One Hundred and Fifty

While they were busy chatting, Mercy told Felix of her encounter with one of her lecturers, Mr. Amadi.

She recounted her experience with him. How he had decided that the students had to be on a queue, come to his office one after the other for their books with their money in their hands.

She told him how she had gone in when it was her turn and all that had transpired.

'I had been avoiding him. Not wanting him to notice me because of all that I had heard about him but I was shocked that he knew my name and had been monitoring my activities and knew that I didn't make friends easily and some other things. I just hope that he doesn't fail me'.

'He can't. They do that only to those girls who don't know why they ate in school. But you do. You study hard and he will have no option but to give you the score that you merit. Don't allow fear to incapacitate you'.

Mercy nodded telling him how she had decided to read his books more than the others and study his course the most.
