Arnold, who didn't want to get himself involved with human issues, decided to be responsible for Natalie and also tame her vengeful heart to avoid people finding out about their existence as vampires, which he and also his friend Devin had been hiding for decades. 
After a month of being together, they found out Natalie couldn't take just any blood but Arnold's, which opted them to get into a marriage contract proposed by Arnold, who was already in love with the obstinate woman.
Gradually, both of them discovered they had an unsettled past together.

"What do you think about Mrs. Spears?."

Beth asked as they exited the room.

"She is an interesting woman and I'm sure she would be sweet too." He grimaced.

"I'm sure you wouldn't regret investing in her," Beth confirmed.

"I hope so. She would be my precious little asset if she does the right thing I need." Mr. Roberto pointed and Beth understand instantly.

"When do I meet with her privately?." He asked further.

"Mr. Robert. If that's the case, you will have to be very patient with her. I've not known her for long but I can tell that she isn't an easy woman to penetrate." Beth cautioned.

"Oh.. she would have to be an easy woman. And you will make that happen. If you want this deal to push through, you better clarify things soon." He added.

Natalie heard their conversation from the distance and an obvious frown appeared on her face.

"Ohh Natty I'm so happy for you. I guess you would be famous soon." Quella jubilated.
