Arnold, who didn't want to get himself involved with human issues, decided to be responsible for Natalie and also tame her vengeful heart to avoid people finding out about their existence as vampires, which he and also his friend Devin had been hiding for decades. 
After a month of being together, they found out Natalie couldn't take just any blood but Arnold's, which opted them to get into a marriage contract proposed by Arnold, who was already in love with the obstinate woman.
Gradually, both of them discovered they had an unsettled past together.

The bright morning sun shone directly at Sarah's face prompting her to wake up

When Devin noticed that she moved, he held her more tightly to himself. Sarah felt a bit shy as their naked bodies came in contact and she blushed. Meanwhile, Devin began to place kisses on her hair and he moved down to her neck and he caressed her body.

"Awake?." He asked briefly and she responded with a hum.

"It's morning. We should be going else someone might meet us here." Sarah cautioned.

"Who would come to a lake in the middle of nowhere? Except, of course, for us." Devin reminded with a grin.

"How did you find me here last night?." Sarah asked curiously.

"I am a vampire. You cannot make a sound that I won't be aware of."

"The sensitivity." Sarah groaned and tried to move but he restricted her.

"Eager to leave me so soon?" Devin asked but Sarah gave no response. It's comfortable this way. Let's not leave yet." He added.
