She hoped to get revenge by devouring them and making them beg for mercy. Arnold, who didn't want to get himself involved with human issues, decided to be responsible for Natalie and also tame her vengeful heart to avoid people finding out about their existence as vampires, which he and also his friend Devin had been hiding for decades. 
After a month of being together, they found out Natalie couldn't take just any blood but Arnold's, which opted them to get into a marriage contract proposed by Arnold, who was already in love with the obstinate woman.
Gradually, both of them discovered they had an unsettled past together.

<p>It been A YEAR since Arnold didn't see Natalie again, Devin got married to Sarah and they moved from Melbourne. It wasn't safe for them there after Devin almost lost his life because of the risks he took for him. Arnold still couldn't believe that Natalie left him forever, she was pregnant with his child. The most magical thing that has ever happened to him. He never thought that he, a vampire would ever have a child. Even if he isn't permitted to meet his child now, he knew that Natalie and his child are alive out there, somewhere. Ever since Monica became a vampire, he didn't see her anymore. Atleast, he wouldn't have to worry about her bothering him. Arnold lived in seclusion, he no longer worked as a doctor. He lost his family and friends to his own selfishness so he dared not start a new life but instead lived a miserable one. </p>
