Don't Call Me A Liar Later

The sky turned dark; soon it was time for dinner.

In a bungalow at the First year's Gifted Sector Dorms, a blond-haired man looked upstairs curiously and muttered.

" It's dinner time already. Will he stay here until midnight?"

The blond-haired man or Asher didn't mind Ian staying until late, but... he only bought enough food for three people from the canteen.

' There are some instant noodles in the fridge... '

Asher contemplated whether to eat noodles and sacrifice his food to Ian or let Ian eat cup noodles.

Aeric, who heard Asher's mutterings, shook his head.

" He made an Advancement potion. it's the famous Phantasm blood," said Aeric; while eating a new specialty called Chicken Mayo Burger bought by Asher.

When Asher heard it, he couldn't help but become confused for a moment. However, after a period of mulling, he recalled the information about this potion and couldn't help but question.

" An advancement potion? Won't those potions damage the user's potential? Decreasing the chances to surpass mortal stage," Said Asher.

" Harm the potential? And decreases the chance to surpass the mortal stage. There is something like that!?" sounded a surprised voice from the stairs.

Asher turned his head towards the owner of the voice- Ian and nodded his head.

Ian began to ponder after receiving the confirmation from Asher.

' There is something like that...' Thought Ian,

No wonder Aeric never used any potions to advance; Either he used Natural Treasures or had a natural breakthrough.

Any Mind practitioner would undoubtedly find harming the potential to be a terrifying side effect, but it did not faze Ian.

Ian knew he wasn't as monstrous as Aeric or as lucky as Asher. For him, achieving a natural breakthrough to reach a higher grade is impossible unless… he wasted a lot of time.

However, the thing Ian lacks the most is resources and time!

Resources can be accumulated and plundered using his knowledge of the future, but the available time is ever decreasing.

But these aren't the only problems that worried Ian.

' Can I even surpass Mortal Stage?... '

After knowing that consuming potions can decrease the probability of reaching a higher stage, Ian felt reluctant to drink them.

' Sigh... I will go along with the current flow. I can always search for treasures to surpass Mortal Stage.'

Indeed!

Finding treasures that can help him break through to above the Mortal Stage is troublesome but not impossible.

However, wasting time naturally breakthrough with his subpar talent doesn't seem feasible.

So he decided to retort any means possible to increase his strength before the Six years deadline.

" Anyway, we can always think about these latter. Come and eat with us." said Asher while smiling warmly.

Ian touched his stomach and nodded his head.

He ate little in the last few days, just a few packaged foods barely enough to pass by.

This situation reminded him of the past when he was left on the road while watching the orphanage get destroyed in front of his own eyes.

At those times, Hunger was a part of him, he lived with hunger.

Ian sighed in sorrow and tried to distract himself from those memories.

Can't I eat properly! at least for these few years!?

After reaching a certain stage, food would become useless. At that time, based on Ian's personality, he might completely abandon eating.

' Anyway... let's just eat for now, ' Thought Ian.

He walked in front of the table and sat in one of the empty chairs.

Opposite Ian, Asher stared at a plastic bag beside him for a while and shook his head.

" Here take this, it's a complete meal set from Asian style, I ordered all kinds of Asian dishes..." said Asher, he arranged the set on the table in front of Ian.

Ian, moved by the fragrance, thanked Asher and started digging into the food.

' This guy is quite considerate.' Thought Ian, while munching on the food.

No wonder.

Otherwise, who else can befriend two mentally ill introverts?

'Cough, Cough Calling Aeric mentally ill may be acceptable, but not Rue, He is a nice guy.' Thought Ian.

' I wanted to try them...' Asher muttered in his heart; His eyes revealed a trace of melancholy and longing.

He researched for an hour before selecting the best dishes from Asian cuisine.

Asher's emotions were complicated; His 1 hour of hard work was getting eaten in front of him.

" Hmm... Did you stabilize your Mind power? You might become mentally retarded if it collapsed and destroyed your Mental space." Asked Aeric, noticing the Orange hue surrounding Ian.

Albeit almost invisible, the orange hue was still there, and it failed to escape Aeric's Awareness.

Ian looked at Aeric in surprise, not expecting him to ask a question like that.

Based on what he could recall, Aeric had almost zero EQ and was very bad at conversations. But it seems like he isn't completely dumb.

" Yeah, everything went well. Making that potion was well worth it," said Ian while smirking.

There were quite a few changes inside him, but the most striking one should be...

He could use True Vision 24/7!

Although it is only an inferior version of the original True Vision, having it at all times is extremely useful!

It can currently be used to observe Aura, Mindpower, and other types of powers that are invisible to human eyes but still exist in nature.

Asher recovered from his grief and thought about something that he wanted to ask for a long time.

" By the way, you are a senior, right? How can a senior come to the First year's District every day? Won't you be expelled by now due to repeated offense and penalty.?"

This has stumped Asher the most in recent days; it's fine if it's once a month or even once a week, but daily?... That's suspicious as hell!

Hearing Asher's question, Ian's facial expression didn't change. He continued to chew the food in his mouth without responding.

Asher's doubts are reasonable, but Ian already prepared a few excuses beforehand.

He wiped his mouth with a cloth and stared at Asher.

"You want to know the reason? " Said Ian, he chuckled and continued - "Don't call me a liar later "
