BEING ME

Upon entering her humble abode, she made her way to the table and began studying for several hours. The intensity of her focus left her feeling drained and overcome by a sudden wave of tiredness. Seeking solace, she decided to indulge in a cup of freshly brewed coffee, thoughtfully prepared by her Aunt Kate. While sipping her coffee, she took a moment to check her phone for any new messages.

Afterward, she returned to her half-completed homework, determined to finish it. Hours passed by, but at long last, she completed her homework. As a reward for her hard work, she decided to watch some of her favorite anime shows. Later, after finishing her dinner, she made her way upstairs to her room.

IN HER DREAM

.

.

As she slowly regained consciousness, she was met with an alarming sight - a young boy had firmly grasped her hands and was dragging her toward the dense forest. Both of them were dressed in identical maid uniforms, which only added to her confusion and disorientation. She was too shocked to react, unable to form coherent thoughts or protest against this sudden turn of events. As they rushed towards the safety of the woods, she noticed two ominous figures in black coats, who bore an uncanny resemblance to Ji-ah and Seok-Joon. It dawned on her that these sinister individuals were most likely pursuing them, to capture and sell them off as slaves in the notorious organ trade.

Grace was lost in a dream where she witnessed a boy being captured by some people using force. Her heart ached at the sight of the helpless boy and she wanted to help him. But before she could do anything, the boy looked straight into her eyes and spoke in a trembling voice. "I will try to divert their attention, you must leave without me," he said. Grace refused to leave him behind, "No, I cannot leave you," she said firmly.

Before she could say anything else, the boy whispered, "Bye, I will see you in my next life," and vanished into a bright light. Grace was overwhelmed with emotions and tears flowed down her face. Suddenly, her alarm clock interrupted her dream and she woke up feeling angry and frustrated. She wanted to lash out at the alarm clock for robbing her of a precious dream.

After composing herself, she got dressed and headed to school, still feeling the weight of the dream on her mind.

As she walked into the classroom, Grace noticed that it was unusually quiet. The reason for this was that Ji-ah and Seok-Joon were not there yet. She made her way to her bench and sat beside Park-Young, who was engrossed in studying. She couldn't help but steal glances at him, admiring his dedication to his studies. After a few minutes, the class started, and the teacher announced that they would be taking a maths revision test in the first period. Grace felt a surge of confidence as she had studied hard the previous night, and by the grace of God, she got average marks on the test. Park-Young, as expected, got full marks once again.

Just then, Min-Won approached Grace and said, "Hi Grace, it's been a long time since I've seen you." But Grace ignored her completely as if she were invisible. This seemed to provoke Min-Won, who then taunted Grace by saying, "What happened to you? Oh, are you scared of me?" Min-Won wore a mocking smile on her face, and her ugly appearance made Grace feel disgusted. However, Grace maintained her composure and replied calmly, "Do I look like I'm scared of you?" This response embarrassed Ji-ah, who gave Grace a deathly stare before rolling her eyes and walking away with her group of followers.

Grace and Ji-ah took a break from their routine schedule and decided to watch a football match. While they were enjoying the game, Grace noticed Eul-Yoel, the basketball team leader, who was also present at the game. He saw Grace and waved to her, and then he got closer to Grace and sat near her. However, Park-Young, who seemed to have a crush on Grace, felt disappointed about it. Eul-Yoel greeted the girls and exclaimed, "Hello pretty girls, do I know you?" Grace, not wanting to show any interest, replied instantly, "I don't think so." They then started watching Park-Young's thrilling football match, and Ji-ah cheered for him throughout the game. After the match was over, Park-Young and Seok-Joon joined Grace and sat with her. The football leader also came to them and said, "It's been a long time since I have seen you, Park-Young." "Yes, Eul-Yoel," he replied boldly. Eul-Yoel noticed the anger in Park-Young's tone and said with a hasty smile on his face, "Why are you becoming so angry?"

As Seok-Joon and Grace watched, Ji-ah and Park-Young engaged in a friendly banter about a cool guy who had just left. Park-Young boasted that the guy couldn't beat him in a match. Grace handed Park-Young his forgotten water bottle and informed him that they had come to watch the match. Park-Young asked for Grace's water bottle, which she had just bought. The class went well after that, and Grace returned home, eager to relax. She threw off her clothes and settled in to watch some anime.
