Lessons

The first lessons begun as Harley joined Pixel after the funeral had been held, as they entered the room there were many others who watched Harley follow behind Pixel but among them was Milo who had revealed his displeasure right away. "Hah.. low borns know how to stick together. First you hire an old man and now you bring this kid in to be your partner. Such a joke!"

Harley lowered their head timidly because of the taunts of Milo but Pixel remained unfazed as she stared at him silently for a second before slowly walking to her work desk.

Her total disregard for Milo and his taunts had made the room become quiet and tense but she just sat there and waved to Harley to sit down.

The teacher entered the room and the basic lessons of the family had begun once again while everyone went over the previous lessons and what they had learned so far.

Although the mood of the class had improved a little, there was still a mildly tense atmosphere between Milo and Pixel as Milo kept sending her mean looks as she ignored him.

As the lesson ended, Harley received praise for their learning ability as they had picked up everything quickly and was able to make up for their lack of knowledge from the previous lessons.

As they were leaving the room, Milo stuck out his leg to trip Harley when they least expected it.

Harley started to fall and panicked but a small hand wrapped around their waist and pulled them back up into a tight hug as Harley was able to regain their balance.

An embarrassed blush appeared on Harley's face as they pushed back their saviour and fled the room which had left behind a confused Pixel who was left standing there.

She then turned her head towards Milo and sent him a glare. "Stop being so mean to others and try to improve yourself if you even want a chance of competing with your brothers and sisters. My patience has its limits and I will not tolerate everything you do even if you are my younger brother."

She slowly walked past him and continued her glare as she intimidated him further which later dissipated as she left the room.

Milo dropped to his knees as his legs had weakened from fear.

Felice walked by his side as she was leaving too but she stopped to look over him for a moment before shaking her head and leaving. 'Coward.'

She already had a bad impression of her youngest brother but now that impression had further solidified with his display.

Even if he had a bad personality, he should at least be able to handle a single mouse so that he did not damage the image of the family further but his display of fear after being confronted by Pixel was shameful in Felice's eyes.

The small study partner carried the books and other materials while chasing excitedly behind her while Maximillion passed by and revealed a gloating look towards Milo as he passed by and then left the room followed by his partner.

Cleo passed by her brother and stopped timidly as she stretched out her hand to help him up from the ground but all that she received for her care was a slap towards her hand as Milo rejected it.

He climbed up to his feet and stomped out of the room with a look of shame on his face and grit his teeth while Cleo looked down at her hand in a daze.

She clenched her hand tightly as the nails dug a little into her flesh which caused a little pain before she loosened it again and left the room to follow him as their assistants followed behind them but in reality the two assistants were only there for her brother and not herself.

The small figure of Cleo looked very lonely as the two assistants or study partners passed by her and chased after Milo leaving her to follow behind on her own.

Back at the living area of Pixel and Ash, Pixel and Harley had both arrived and they started to begin their training and sparring matches as old Swifty lay back in a chair with a knife and a pierce of wood in his hand as he was carving into it slowly.

Occasionally his eyes would look over towards the figures of the two children and then would shake his head and sigh. 'Wrong.. it is all wrong. So clumsy!'

He revealed a look of frustration for a moment but then returned to his wood carving until his stomach started to growl. "Alright, time for food kids! Get moving!"

He had watched them fighting and working up a sweat for a while and he knew that they would need to replenish their energy soon so he called for them to join him but most of all it was an opportunity to try some more of Ash and Pixel's cooking so he quickly urged them to stop what they were doing and go prepare the food.

Pixel rolled her eyes and then beckoned Harley who followed behind silently as the old raccoon followed behind.
