Pools of Blood

Another small group of humans had chased behind Felice but had yet to catch up to get within a close enough range to be able to see her clearly.

Once they did get remotely close enough, the figures of more than one Mink were standing covered in Electro on different parts of their bodies.

They did not have enough time to halt their movements as their feet had hit the ground hard and continued to skid forward before several figures had reached them.

The sword of Harley was unsheathed once again and her long katana blade had cut across the waist of one man which had caused their body to fall to the ground and separate into two halves.

The bloodied katana had continued to move forward as it started to reap the lives of those that were seen as enemies.

One slash cleaved a man at waist at a slight angle that had caused the upper half of the body to slide down to one side before separating from the body.

Another man was cut below his arm that had been raised upward while it continued to cut at an angle that removed his head, arm and shoulder on one side.

Each high speed slash had carried a single sharp flash which cut apart anything it had come across leaving behind heavy cuts to the bodies that it had passed by.

Most weaker bodies that lacked endurance and higher training had been cut apart with ease by Harley while some had suffered a slightly deep wound due to their quicker responses or tougher bodies.

They may have been lucky to survive like that but not every one of them could live for long with the deep wound they had gained.

Pools of blood had formed underneath the cut apart bodies before Harley had reappeared on the other side of them with her back to them.

The long katana had already been partly inserted back into the sheath before it had fallen back inside and clicked into place.

Once the click had sounded out in the surroundings, a lot of cuts on the bodies of those behind her had burst open and sprayed blood from them before most of them had dropped down to the ground.

There was another clicking noise that had followed just afterward as old Swifty had appeared near Harley after he had completed the same style of fast sword cuts that decimated the enemy groups numbers.

The long curled up claws of Misty had acted like sharp hooks that had ripped and tore through the skin of those that she had clashed with.

One man had raised his sword to block one claw but he did not respond in time for the other claw to sweep across his stomach area.

There was a large tear let behind and blood started to pour out of the wound along with the internal organs which he tried to reach towards to keep within his body.

He did bother to worry about Misty when he was in such a dangerous state and was in so much pain.

As he was dying, he could only hear the screams of those behind him that he was unable to protect until his life had faded away.

Another figure had jumped towards a woman and had tackled her to the ground which had caused her to be electrocuted instantly.

Liquorice had climbed back up quickly and avoided the club that was brought down on her which had hit the woman instead.

The club was spiked so it had caused a great deal of damage to the body of the woman so even if she was still alive, her chances of surviving any longer had become much lower.

The club had missed so it was being pulled back up by a larger man but he suddenly felt something hit his waist. "Huh?"

Liquorice appeared in his blind spot and tackled his waist but there was little movement that came from it.

There was a difference in size and power between them and the man was still very heavy so it was more difficult to bring him down.

The heavy amount of Electro that had gathered around her fleece had made contact with him which had caused his body to suddenly become weakened and paralysed so all of his advantages became useless.

The numbers of the enemy group had been greatly reduced during the first clashes due to the advantages of having Electro and greater speed along with possessing various traits of the Mink tribe related to their instincts or natural advantages in combat.

The weak were taken out instantly which had left behind the somewhat capable people among them but they had still found it tough to continue clashing with a single Mink especially when they had to worry about being ambushed by another.

Their greater numbers meant nothing in the face of greater power

Each of them were shown no shred of mercy from the group of Minks that attacked them which had made them come to regret ever going against them.

It was too late for regrets since their group was reduced to nothing and there was only one left alive or conscious that was not as wounded as the others.

He had clutched the wound on his neck which was not that deep so he was able to press his hand over it to slow down the loss of blood. "Hah.."

A cloaked Mink which was one of the shadow guards of the Meridian family had finished dealing with him then hit the limbs of him before tying a piece of cloth over the wound on the neck.

They dropped the wounded man at the feet of Pixel and bowed. "Young miss. I kept one alive as ordered."
