Arc 3, Chapter 51: Another Day Forward

The dawn broke once more, sunlight beaming past the curtains. Her eyes waxed open, blonde strands webbed over the pillow. Jotou took a breath, staring to the ceiling.

The same ceiling she had seen too many times now. A small smirk alit on her face, "Kaleb. Daiyu. The funfair…" Jotou muttered, seemingly having greater memory of this dream than any of the previous ones.

Perhaps it was because it occurred several months ago as opposed to years. 'Having regrets is stupid. I have to live with that mistake. I just have to learn from it and try not to mess up again.

And if I do, I'll try again. If I fall, I'll stand back up. Nothing in this life makes sense; nothing has purpose unless you give it one. I can't live on spite alone. So, I don't think I will.'
