Zino

Somewhere in the deep, filled with colourful corals, a hill of pearls and a gigantic blue pearl that illuminates the whole environment, mariners were going about their daily activities.

There were half human-half fish, half human-half reptiles, humanoids with crab digits; some with lobster's claws, etc.

Some were busying tending to the corals, trimming them into lovely shapes, some were taking their younger ones on fun rides on back of sharks, some were busy discussing the highlight of the week, etc.

Olókun sat down in his chambers and fixed his gaze on Jewel through the gigantic blue pearl. His heart yearned to be with her and this made his heart to flutter the more. Unknown to him, Zino, his wife was peeping on him.

"Well, well, well.....what do we have here? She smirked as she clapped her hands in a slow dramatic manner

Olókun was taken aback but controlled his emotions and turned around calmly and faced Zino.

"What happened, my Queen?"

"Enough of your charade, Olókun. Your heart never beat for me for once, but for that earthling? I've not gotten over the fact that you humiliated me over 200years ago by dating that disgusting thing....but, what do we call this? A mere mortal?" she let out visibly shaking with her eyes wide open.

"I can explain, my Queen. It's not what you think." He replied calmly as possible.

"Then explain you freaking bastard!....Explain!!!" She said and then let out an ear piercing sonic scream.

This made the bottom of the sea to shake and made the light of the gigantic pearl to flicker badly.

Olókun teleported to her side, covered her mouth to prevent further damage and held her in a tight embrace. She tried to wriggle out of his embrace but couldn't, which made her to weep inconsolably.

"How can I conceive when you do heart wrenching things to me, Olókun? Who knows if you're not behind my barrenness? I saw it in your eyes, you will do anything for that earthling. My peers have lots of great grandchildren already. I've lost face, Olókun. I am losing my mind." she said amidst tears and sniffed.

"She's my favourite devotee, Zino. You got it all wrong. You were just imagining things. We will have our own children, I promise. Others don't have to know when we have issues. It will only complicate things." Olókun tried to soothe her.

Olókun felt her heart flutter and gave a sigh of relief.

But some mariners were already aware of the earth chattering scream and his chief commander, Andre, already sent a request to teleport with others to his chambers.

Olokun merely replied telepathically and told them all was under control.

"Jewel, I don't know where this might lead us. But my heart beats for you only. I am sorry, Zino. You deserve a man that can die for you. I tried so hard to love you but couldn't. You will have to forgive me." Olókun said in his mind.

Olókun then shut his eyes tight and sucked the life force out of Zino. Her eyes, wide in shock didn't see her death coming. One moment she was resting on Olókun's chest, having a sense of belonging. Next minute he killed her for reasons best known to him.

Olókun then teleported the dead body to her chambers. She looked so peaceful even in death. Olókun merely shook his head and clasped his fingers while sitting comfortably on his throne.

"I'll be waiting for you all. The worst already happened. This won't be in anyway different." He muttered as each strand of his shoulder length hair started making hissing sounds.
