Emerald eyes

Although Nora sat back quietly, there were plenty of things going on in her mind.

'When she was there for the visit of the female beta wing, then how the hell had she ended up there?!'

And right when this thought of being in the wrong wing encountered her mind, she stood up abruptly, at the exact same point of time when Myron was getting ready to jump out of the window and Robin was assisting him.

She gasped at the sight and thought of helping them as she rushed towards them, trying to support Robin's back and offer slight a push so that he would feel some ease in sharing the load.

She placed one hand on Myron's foot and the other on the bare back of Robin, making him flinch due to sensing the sudden touch of a female Alpha on his back.

He just wanted to ask her to withdraw her hand from his back, as it was giving him a tingling sensation- something he was obviously not very fond of. Had he let it stay a while longer, it might have made him burst into a fit of laughter from the tickles. He managed to hold on until Myron landed safely, and turned to remove her hand as soon as his task was done.

But instead, he somehow ended up losing his grip from the windowpane, and fell on the girl who was standing just by his side. His brain had definitely registered that she was standing somewhere in his vicinity, but that she was this close! He didn't have any idea about their proximity before landing on her.

"Holy Moon! What the hell are you doing Robin?!" She whispered aggressively, groaning from the pain, keeping in mind that she couldn't shout.

"That was supposed to be my question!"  He whispered right back, while trying to raise his head from the surface.

"Okay, how about we decide who is supposed to ask what from whom and in what order, AFTER we both have gotten up from the ground? Do you think now would be a good time for you to get up from over me?" She growled again.

"What do you think I am trying to do?" He spoke, finally managing to lift his body up by his arms.

But as soon as hoisted himself up, he felt the grip of the towel loosening, and a welp escaped from his mouth. He acted quickly, before Nora could understand the reason behind it. He used one of his hands to hold the two ends of the towel shut, struggling to tie them together while putting all his weight on the second arm that was still on the ground.

And that was the fortunate moment when he heard Louis's voice, who was calling for someone, drifting in from the hall. "Myron!"

"Why Moon Goddess, why! Why have you written all the adventures in my destiny for today only!?" Murmuring to himself, he grabbed Nora's shoulders and spun her in such a way that he was on the floor, using the momentum to flip themselves once again as they rolled into the space between the bed and the floor. Nora was thoroughly bewildered, as evident from the way her eyes had widened to twice their size; before she could utter a word, he put a hand over her mouth.

Loud footsteps announced the arrival of Louis in the room, drawing their attention towards him as they both squeezed their eyes shut in anticipation. Thankfully, he left quickly, taking the troupe with him, saying "Myron is not here, so let's go."

Nora slapped Robin's hand, who had his eyes fixed towards the light streaming in from under the door, to remind him that he was still pressing on her mouth with his hand.

Robin looked at her and quickly pulled his hand back from her mouth, but his gaze froze on the face of the girl.

'The dim light that was struggling to penetrate the darkness beneath the bed was quite a suited companion for her, as this girl was also born to rebel. He noticed that she was indeed beautiful, with those emerald green eyes of hers.'

"Are you planning to spend your next year here as well?" A sound emerged from somewhere a little farther than those green eyes he had been admiring.

"Ye- what, what did you say?"

"I said, are you planning to spend the next year of your life here, inside this bed as well? You know, because the time we have spent under this dark and stinky bed already feels like a year has passed!"

"Oh- um, wait. You stay right here, let me examine and make sure that no one is out there, only then can you come out. Got it?"

Saying this, he crawled out from under the bed, cursing himself mentally.

'He was supposed to say sorry to her, like a normal Alpha would have done; but what the hell was wrong with him, and what was the whole thing with her eyes about, anyway?!'

He stood up, and the first thing he did was to lunge at the cupboard. He needed to find a pair of pants, roughly of his size from Myron's wardrobe, as it was getting too risky to roam around like this after all that had happened.

Only then did he finish his primary task of looking around; and confirmed that no one else was nearby. Surprisingly enough, the wing was almost vacant; but he was still not in favor of taking a risk, so he decided that it would be better to wait for Myron to venture out of the room with his, er...guest.

He turned and went back into the room as he lowered himself to the ground, pulling his hand under the bed to give her support.

"Come out!"

"Finally, you asked me! Did you know, I had pretty much planned how to spend my entire life down here."

"You can never shut up, right?" He growled.

"Nor can you! What happened to the cool, aloof and 'I don't talk to anyone, so don't talk to me' Robin of the class whom I met yesterday?! Who is here in place of that person, who is busy using puns and sarcasm together?!" She retorted.

"I don't talk in front of everyone, I don't like talking to strangers or forming bonds...like friends or family." He stated matter-of-factly.

"Then what do you think of Myron? And-"

She was going to add herself as the other subject of the question, but Robin interrupted her in the middle, and spoke with annoyance.

"Myron and I are competitors, and nothing else. So can you please do me a favor, and keep your mouth shut for a moment till they return? I need a little peace, so that I can figure out why exactly Louis was here, searching for Myron; and how did he leave so early."

"Probably…I mean, he might have some work for Myron, and he left because he didn't find anybody here in the room."

She replied with a shrug, thinking how dumb he was to not connect such simple steps.

"How long have you stayed alone, away from the community? Louis is an Alpha, if he had something for Myron to do, he would have summoned him. Plus, all werewolves have a certain smell, remember? I also realised that after hiding beneath the bed-"

"But didn't you say to Myron, that no one can detect my smell apart from the ones I want, because I am an Alpha?"

"Yes! But that condition is applicable for Beta's only, not for Alphas! I am afraid that he had definitely smelled us well enough to detect our presence. But then why did he leave the room? I am curious about this."
