Bad news

Sibling dynamics is indeed the most unique and unpredictable dynamic in the world, where the two people involved can't live without each other, and also can't tolerate each other's presence at the same time.

But David and Robin were different! Different in the sense that everyone in their kingdom wanted them to be rivals, in order to feed on the entertainment provided by the drama that it will cause amongst every character, including their mothers! But they used to be the best of buddies, until Robin got to know that whatever they were seeing was not the entire truth, and that there was a big conspiracy behind his mother's death. Ever since then, he had distanced himself not only from David to save his teenage life, but everyone else as well.

And everything was going quite alright so far, according to him. After moving out of the castle, he never talked to anyone who was not already included in his list of acquaintances, hadn't made any new friends and did not return home, either. But the day Nora had entered their life, she not only turned the lives of the Alphas fighting for the throne upside down, but had also gotten his life stuck in the very middle of the eye of a cyclone.

Because he did not know about David, but he was completely sure of the fact that he had distanced himself from everyone, just because he had no intentions of standing in front of his brother, in a position that would resemble that of a competitor, even remotely.

But for this girl, he not only was standing across from his brother, but had also challenged his anger by refusing to accept his help in a case of emergency.

He was sure that David was not going to use his Alpha voice on him, and taking the advantage that, he started walking towards the dead end of the forbidden forest. He was walking ahead, determined to find the leaves and branches of the healing tree, keeping the fact in mind that it would be great if he kept some of them in a stockpile. Because the girl he was currently holding in his arms, did not really seem to like staying away from the troubles. Or say, troubles seemed to quite like her company!

They hadn't walked for more than ten minutes, when Robin heard Myron's voice.

"This is it! This is the healing tree! Now, only you can pluck the leaves and branches of the tree, because a Beta is not allowed to touch this tree -"

"Okay! Yes, I know."

Saying this, Robin adjusted Nora's weight in his one arm, and was about to lift his hand to pluck the leaves of the tree. Before he could have completed his task. he heard Myron's voice from behind him, a little hesitant at first.

"Umm! I am sorry, but don't you think handing Nora to me will make your task much easier, as you will have both your hands free?"

Robin knew it would have helped him a lot, and it would be the easiest of all options as well, but he didn't want to! He did not want to hand Nora to anyone, he didn't trust anyone regarding her safety, he didn't have any thoughts of handing her to anyone!

But why !? But why didn't he want to hand her over, even to Myron, who claimed to be a brother to her - why didn't he trust him, either? Why didn't he trust his brother, when he was saying that he had the leaves of the healing tree, when he knew that David would never lie to him! Then why didn't he want to believe anyone?

The question was bothering him quite a lot, until Myron's voice jolted him out.

"What are you thinking? We are already running late for school, and running out of time for her!"

"Umm, yes! I am sorry, I was stuck in some other thoughts!"

Saying this, he handed Nora over to Myron, only to realise why he was not willing to believe anyone when it came to her.

After Robin left with Myron, David's chest started to fill up with the fumes caused by the flames of anger. It was the first time that his brother had disobeyed him, and that too, for a girl who was a born enemy of theirs!

How...how could it be possible? It was never supposed to be, there was definitely something else to it. There was something about this girl, which was hidden from all of them… including him. And he would make sure to find out what, because after what had happened between him and his brother, he wasn't going to take it lightly anymore.

He was going to find out the complete secret behind her secretive nature, and the plan through which she had entered the school. And he was not going to care about what tactics or dirty politics the Moon pack had planned to employ! He was going to find out every single detail, and make the pack pay for their cunningness.

Especially their beloved Princess!

He felt something bitter pooling in the pit of his stomach, and anger started to spread from his guts to his eyes, clouding his vision, and covering his entire face! It was getting more and more difficult to keep himself calem, because the harder he was trying, the harder it was getting for him to forget the fact that Robin had carried her away in his arms in front of him! Now, it was just a matter of him needing to decide which fact he was angrier on : the one of Robin having disobeyed him, or the one about Robin being the one to take her away from him.

And it would have taken him an eternity to find the answer, if he had not felt a pat on his shoulder which was accompanied by Henry's voice.

"David! I think I have bad news for you."
