The meeting

David was standing against the wall, facing the door; because everything that was going on and that he was a reluctant participant in was boring for him, while also being triggering at the same time. Before the arrival of Nora, he was not only used to the appreciation that came with being the topper of the school, but he was also the centre of attention during each and everything that used to happen inside the campus. But ever since her arrival, she was suddenly in the mainstream of every conversation, having landed smack dab under the limelight; it seemed like everybody was concerned about her, and only her.

He really could not fathom or decide how badly he hated her! And before that tangle of emotions could be resolved, he had been summoned there to stand and look at the drama that was going to start in front of him once again, with Nora cast in the lead as the starring actress.

He was staring off into the distance while entertaining his usual train of thoughts with a scowl from his face, when his eyes refocused and landed on the figure of Nora in the doorway. His gaze followed her as she entered the room with slow steps, clad in a light pink coloured corset dress. The short length of her dress was not only highlighting her toned and shiny legs, but at the same time, the structure was making it difficult not to focus on her tiny waist.

And while her doe eyes were scanning the entirety of the floor as she was taking the smallest steps possible, it was extremely hard to believe that she was the same girl who seemed to be extremely shy and timid in front of the whole world, but roared with much more intensity in front of him, than an Alpha can hold.

He was lost in observing her, when Romera noticed her as well and called out loudly ;

"Nora, come here child , stand by me."

She didn't speak a single word in either affirmation or denial, instead she just turned her steps towards Romera and moved in her direction.

After a while Robin and Ryan also approached the corridors from different directions, and entered the office. This was when David finally gained awareness of the world and noticed that Robin was heading towards him. A small spark of joy appeared in his eyes, and he started to feel delighted, until he saw that Robin was not coming towards him at all. Instead, he had turned towards Romera and was now about to stand by Nora's side.

He knew that Robin had the face of a complete brat and a cold, arrogant prick while at school; in fact, he had almost the same image back at home, too. But he knew that whatever others tended to think and assume about his personality, he only reacted aggressively to the situations he didn't like.

He was quite sure about this fact, sure enough to believe that his brother was certainly not going to talk Nora or stand by her side in front of everyone, especially their parents. Because no matter how badly he liked her, he was going to be the last person to show it to the world.

David was busy contemplating what could be the reason behind this act and trying to anticipate what Robin would be doing next, when he himself spoke up.

"Romera, may I know what in the world is going on in this school during my resting period? Because I don't care how important it is, I am extremely disinterested in all the drama that is going on or is going to be initiated. So just tell me what my part is, and when can I leave!?"

Robin's words were indeed stabbing Nora very pointedly, but she knew she could not say a single word or ask the so cause from him right now. In the couple of days they had been friends in an unofficial capacity, she had gotten to know him enough to know that not a single word he had spoken held any meaning in his heart. Rather, he was going to be the last person to leave her when it was about something crucial to her. However, when all was said and done, she just had these beliefs; and she was still unable to guess the rhyme or reason behind this outbreak of his. That is, until she heard the voice of his father, who spoke up immediately after.

"Well done, my Boy! You have raised a very valid concern, because the concern that is bothering the entire school should have been solved in one of the board meetings, and not like this! By calling all of us in the middle of a random afternoon- when we all should have been enjoying our day after lunch, and not being troubled by the problems of a single person -"

"What do you mean by the 'problems of a single person', Jeffrey! My daughter is a Princess- we all know that even though the competition has not taken place, either she or her twin is going to be the bearer of the throne, and it is for sure! We can't just make her live with the commoners in the dorms; she is not habituated to live with them, and neither should she ever be forced to live like them."

Frederick roared to cut Alpha Matthew off in the middle of his statement, when they all heard the voice of the principal, attracting everyone's attention towards himself.

"I think I may agree with you there, Alpha, but I am extremely sorry for the issue. We are currently running short of the accommodations for Alphas, because of the arrival of Louis as -"

"If I am the problem here, then I am happily ready to live in the boys dorm."

Before the principal could have completed his statement and sealed her fate, Louis interrupted him in the middle by raising his voice as he stepped into the office.
