In A Flash

Nora left the room and was trying to decide where she should head to- the class, or to find her friends.

After all, they had a very important job to finish today: making Myron ask Valerie for a date.

But the problem was not as simple as it seemed to be on the surface, because Myron had never so much as talked to Valerie properly. It was not like the opportunity had never presented itself, either; but the problem was unique in the sense that the moment she took his name, he tended to turn into a tomato.

Keeping this in mind, they had collectively decided that they were not going to spend their precious time mapping a plan for their friendship, which would then take a long, winding journey, leading to their eventual date.

Instead, they would directly start with the date part.

And everything for that date was already ready, with the exception of the two people for whom that date had been designed.

Concluding all these thoughts, she decided to go to the library first. Apart from this, there was one more important piece of information that she needed to find…

Her real identity.

Because even though she believed Louis' words, she herself wanted to know everything regarding this matter, and confirm it from the Moon Goddess.

But it was the first time in her life when she had not been able to contact her.

It was indeed triggering for her and was giving birth to an intense anxiety, but her devotion in Moon Goddess was enough to counter the effect of all the triggers from her life and soothe her anxiety, with the thought that there might be some significant reason why she was not able to see her.

She stopped in front of the library and realised that she had completed the entire journey between two different ends of the school building- from the principal's office to the library- in her thoughts.

She entered the library, chasing away all the thoughts from her mind, knowing that the presence of even a single soul could be fatal for her investigation.

She asked the librarian to vacate the Library for half an hour, and also asked him to stop any student who wanted to enter there, saying that she needed to find some books regarding the Alphas and Royals.

Louis knew that a curious soul like Nora would definitely want to find out every single detail about her identity, hence he had shared with her the hack for getting the library all to herself.

He was also the one who had told her about the area where she could find the books.

The moment the librarian left the room, she rushed towards the section Louis had briefed her about, and pulled out the book named;

"The Real Curse for the Werewolves, or The Only Blessing: Sigma."

The moment Nora left the room, David suddenly lost all interest in having any discussion regarding the things he had arrived there for.

So he also walked out of the office without any explanation, despite hearing multiple voices addressing him.

But all his assumptions jumped into a dark alley when he wasn't able to find any trace of Nora, as if the girl had vanished into thin air.

But David being David, wasn't ready to give up just yet- hence, he decided to check near the Library as well.

Considering that Nora was highkey a nerd, he was sure that if there was one last place she could be found, it had to be there.

And true to his assumption, he really saw Nora entering the Library.

For a moment, he was about to give her the moment of privacy she might be craving.

But the moment he noticed her asking the librarian to leave the Library and block the entry of other students, the bells of suspicion started to go off inside his mind.

The events from the very beginning- where Nora had not responded to his Alpha call, to her being allergic to the Alpha pudding, played in his mind at once and he looked at the Librarian who was about to ask him to stay back for a few moments.

Fearing David's wrath, the librarian stepped aside without uttering a single word.

And he stepped foot into the library, thinking that the only truth that the Rovery family must be hiding was of their daughter being a Beta, and her twin being the actual Alpha.

Because after the events that had taken place and seeing how cowardly she really was to not even be able to defend herself against her fellow Alpha, he was sure that there was no way she could ever be an Alpha.

Thinking this, he started looking for her in the Beta section, but finding no trace of life there, he decided to check the Alpha section. This is when he saw her climbing the stairs and stepping towards the Sigma corner.

Before he could warn her not to go there, he saw a strip of medicine fall down from her pocket.

He quickly managed to pick it up, hiding himself from her view and took a good look at the name of the medicine.

As if this was not enough to pull out the earth from beneath his feet, he also happened to look up, and saw her pulling out the forbidden books from the Sigma corner.

The fear of something happening to her clenched his heart inside its fist, and without thinking of anything, he jumped towards her in his wolf form, to reduce the time it would take for him to reach the second floor.

But despite all his efforts, she opened the book before he could reach her, and a bright flash of silver light appeared from the book, transforming her into a beautiful silver wolf.

The light was enough to blind David's vision, but he had already noticed the loosened hook of the chandelier which might fall on her.

Knowing all the risks of jumping towards Nora and all the hatred he had for her, along with the precious chance to eliminate one candidate from the competition, he jumped towards her to save her from getting hurt.

This jump not only caused the book to fall from her hand, but both of them ended up falling on each other.

And the moment the book fell out from her hand, she transformed back into her human form, and so did David, who was unable to bear the intensity of the light in his wolf form.

But this was not the only thing that had happened, which was probably going to haunt both of them for their entire life.

David, for almost losing her, and Nora, for getting caught.

The kiss was another thing which would remain imprinted in both their minds for the rest of their lives with the darkest ink of destiny, which they both were unable to erase.
