Ch.17

Thanatos

Of course god would make me go get Eros.

I sighed and followed the path through Athens.

I wonder if Ivy is around. I should of asked to travel with her as we both needed to visit the Athens.

"Thanatos! What a lovely surprise. How goes it, my friend?" Cupid came bouncing onto the path like he fell from the sky.

"Eros! I'm fantastic. Yourself?" I put on my best fake smile.

"I'm wonderful. Why are you in Athens?" Eros looked me up and down, probably trying to decipher what I was doing here.

"I came to visit you actually." I watched his face contort with confusion.

Why would a Grim Reaper come to such a happy place and visit Cupid? Wasn't I like the Anti-Christ's best friend or something?

I wish. I'm God's friend unfortunately.

"Oh. What for? Find a new sweetie? Need some help with the love part?" He wiggled his eyebrows at me.

"Absolutely," I paused to watch his face light up with excitement,"Not. I need a favor." I said coldly.

"Go figure. Let me guess, Persephone is back and you want me to come help in a war because she found out Hades plans on taking her as his bride?" Eros gave me a baby smile and twiddle his fingers sweetly.

"Let me guess, he visited you? Asking you to wave around your magical arrows of love and cheat her emotions?" I threw out a random guess.

"No, but I'm surprised he hasn't. Probably would of made this easier on him. She was here earlier and asked Artemis and Hestia to help her." Eros chuckled as my face dropped.

"She beat me here? I teleported directly!" I scoffed.

Stupid Alice.

Alice was the Pegasus and she was very competitive. Of course she'd find this a competition rather then the actual race we entered her in.

"Yep. Well since you asked so nicely, yes. I'll help." Cupid clapped and began walking to the exit.

"Hey Cupid?" I followed after him slowly.

"Yes Thanatos?" He answered in an annoyed tone.

"We have one more stop to make." I was going to laugh my ass off at this.

Cupid Hated Poseidon.

Why? Couldn't tell you honestly.

"Oh?" He prompted for me to continue.

"Poseidon is tagging along." His face dropped.

"Hey, it was nice seeing you. I'm just gonna head back inside. Maybe binge watch some Mortal teli." He walked past me casually.

I grabbed one of his wings and pulled him along to the exit.

"Nope lets go," I grunted and teleported us to a beach near the Pacific Ocean.

"Really!" Eros yelled from the water. I may or may not have dropped him in there on purpose.

"Stop fooling around Eros, this is serious." I scolded him.

His face contorted with anger. I wanted to laugh. Karma is a bitch.

Well not really. She's super sweet.

"Poseidon!" I yelled lovingly.

No response.

"Poseidon you grey bastard! It's Thanatos!" I yelled a little louder.

No response.

I picked up a shell and chucked it into the ocean.

"Ow you whore!" Poseidon rose out of the water, rubbing his head.

"You creep! Were you just sitting there?" Eros screeched.

"No! I was coming out. What are you two doing here? Is it my birthday or something? Happy birthday to me!" He clapped dramatically.

"No you fool." Eros gritted his teeth.

This would be fun.

"Thanatos, why are you here?" Poseidon turned his attention to me.

"We need your help. It's time." I nodded softly.

Paimon

Athena and Ares.

Christ two opposites. Hopefully they don't give me too much trouble.

Both are located on mount Olympus, easy enough.

Ares lived with Aphrodite on the far side of the mountain and Athena lived on the low side.

Great.

Ares would probably be rather difficult to convince,Especially if he saw Athena was with me.

I can go collect Athena and send her to the palace? Although she may just run off or return to her own home.

I groaned and dropped my head into my hands. Why must every god and goddess be so petty and hold such grudges?

I'll go get Athena first and Ares can suck it up.

I trudged down the cobblestone path, stopping in front of a small white structure.

Not exactly a palace or a mansion but not too bad.

"Athen!" I called out.

An owl responded with a hoot but no Athena.

"Athena! It's Paimon!" I doubt she even knows who I am.

"Shut your mouth before you scare people off the mountain." Her charming voice sounded from behind me.

I turned towards the voice only to be met with nudity and a sword to my head.

"Jesus woman! Put some damn clothes on!" I screeched and covered my eyes.

Athena was In a thin, short, fur skirt along with a half shirt made of scales. Her breasts peaked out of the sides of the shirt and down the middle. The skirt would flash everyone if a gust of wind were to appear.

"What are you, a child?" She scoffed and lowered her sword.

For a goddess who is known as the queen of wisdom, she doesn't seem to have any.

"No, the opposite really. Almost 200 years old." I followed her into the structure.

"A baby. I'm almost 300," she stopped abruptly and faced me," what do you need Paimon? This isn't hell nor the underworld. Your kind has no need to be here." Athena squinted her eyes at me.

"God needs your help. Or I guess to be more specific Persephone and Zeus do." I ran my fingers through my curly hair, pulling at the strands.

I hope Ivy is okay. I wanted to go with her but we all have responsibilities.

"She's back?" Athenas face lit up with excitement.

"And wel-"

"Oh my! This is fantastic!" Athena clapped happily.

"Yes, indeed. But-"

"God I cannot wait to teach her how to hunt! And use the hide of a goat for clothes!" Athena turned and started rummaging through shelves and random cabinets I hadn't even noticed were there.

"Athena!" I yelled irritated.

Her face fell and she dropped a bottle of I- I couldn't tell you to be honest.

It was red and looked like it had chunks.

"What? Isn't this good?" She asked like a scared child.

"It'd be good if Hades wasn't after her and her powers!" I said a bit annoyed.

"Why didn't you say that sooner! What do I need to do?" Athena was in front of me in an instance, my hands In hers.

"You need to come back to heaven with me so we can come up with a game plan." I smiled at her.

"I can do that. Okay." She rushed over to her spear and shield.

"Do you need that?" I pointed to the odd object on her shield.

"What the shield or Medusa?" She asked dumbly.

"Medusa." I forgot to mention she had attached Medusa's head to her goat shield.

"Of course! It's how I throw my enemies off balance." She swayed her hips as she exited the building.

Wild card.
