Ch.28

Ivy

"Ivy!" A voice whispered, pulling me out of my sleepy trance.

"Huh?" I asked sleepily and sat up, my head pounding.

I rubbed my tired eyes and looked around. I was surrounded my bars and creatures.

"What the fuck!" I shouted and looked around.

"Ivy calm down." A voice called from my left. I looked over to find a familiar face.

"Kratos, where are we?" I moved closer to his cell.

I didn't know Kratos but he was better then the 3 eyed, blood oozing, creature to my right.

"Not sure but by the looks of it Hell. Maybe the underworld?" Kratos kept his eyes on me.

"How? What?" I looked around confused until it clicked.

"Hades." I inhaled and exhaled in hopes of calming my nerves but my anxiety just seemed to spike.

"Ivy, it's okay. I'll get us out of this." Kratos reached through the bars and put a hand on mine.

I yanked it away quickly,"Do not touch me."

"I'm not your enemy." Kratos huffed and leaned into the bars.

"I don't know that for sure." I crossed my arms and sat dead in the middle of the cage.

We sat in the same spots for hours, waiting. It was almost peaceful inside the cages. Well if you could get past the occasional gurgling noises and a few ear deafening screeches.

"Ivy, You can't stay here." Kratos sighed and leaned his forehead on the bars.

If this was Hades' doing then I was screwed.

"Well if you haven't noticed, there isn't exactly a way out." I pulled my knees to my chest.

I was scared, honestly. I'm going to be turned into one of Hades' slaves or worse Lucifer.

"I have a plan, but you have to trust me." Kratos whispered and my head tiredly turned towards him.

"Im not in the mood for games, Kratos." I blinked a few times to keep my eyes open.

"Holy christ, you haven't completed your transition yet, Have you?" Kratos was now sitting up staring at me.

"Not yet. Thanatos said it could be another year or so." I pushed myself up and watched Kratos.

I was beginning to get hungry. But fortunately sleep was in the process of taking over.

"Ivy, wake up." Kratos snapped his fingers and my eyes opened.

"Im up." I coughed and looked around, trying to find anything to distract me or busy my mind.

Sure there were skulls, dead bodies, and demon-like creatures all around me, but after studying them for a while, they begin to become boring.

"We're gonna get you out, I promise."

Paimon

"What are we supposed to do if they are the ones who did this?" Thanatos dropped his head into his hands.

I joined him on the sofa. I had no idea what to do. We were down 3 gods and the ones we do have aren't in any shape to fight.

"Im not sure. I can reach out and see if there are any other gods or goddesses who can assist?" Poseidon shrugged.

"You can try but most don't like Kratos. Why would they help?" Zeus chimed in. He had a point, Kratos was a homewrecker, metaphorically and physically.

You get that guy even slightly angry and he will set your home on fire and force your head onto a spike.

But he was pretty lovable otherwise.

"We don't tell them Kratos is with her." God shrugged from the opposite side of the room,"We just tell them Hades took Persephone and Kratos is on another one of his Hiatuses."

"You think that'll work?" Poseidon looked from me to God, I shrugged.

It was better then doing nothing. Ivy hasn't completed her transition. Those dimwits probably aren't feeding her or letting her sleep like mortals need to.

"Doesn't matter if it'll work or not, We need to do something. Ill go to Mount Olympus and see who I can get." Zeus waved a goodbye and exited the room.

"Ill go to the sea and see if anyone is willing to help." Poseidon smiled and took heavy steps towards me.

I felt like a child who was about to get bullied by the fat ginger.

Poseidon bent over and whispered,"High Hopes, Son. We will get her." with that he left the room.

"I guess I'll head to Hell and try to convince a few demons to help us out." I stood and stretched, instantly regretting it.

I was still healing from the lashes given to me from the kingdom. Some had already began scarring but others refused to heal. They would over time, hopefully.

"Isn't that dangerous?" Thanatos spoke up.

"They'd take her to the underworld, not Hell. I dont have access to the Underworld." I used to before Hades found out what happened to Hel.

Everyone blamed me for her death. I did too sometimes.

"Well, Just to be safe I'll come along." Thanatos attempted to stand but God pushed him back into the couch.

"Not so fast, Thanatos. You're far too ill to go anywhere." God grabbed a blanket and threw it over Thanatos.

"Nana God, Can you make me some lunchies?" I asked in my best baby voice.

"Paimon, I swear on everything I've created, If you don't leave now I will-"

"Already leaving Sir. Bye Thanatos, I love you bruddha." I winked, proud of myself for using some lingo Ivy taught me.

"Be careful bruddha."
