Just as Dick reached out to touch the skeleton head, the skeleton suddenly spoke.
"Human, I'm very happy that you can come here. Your talent is beyond my imagination, but the path ahead is not easy."
Startled, Dick withdrew his hand. He looked at the skeleton head in front of him and asked in confusion.
"It's strange. Why do you call me that? Aren't you also a human? Since you can speak, I'd like to ask you, who on earth placed you here?"
The skeleton's mouth slowly opened and closed, making cracking sounds as if it was laughing, or as if it was beating.
"No, I'm not a human at all. I'm just using the form of a skeleton. I wasn't put here by others. I should have been here!"
A burst of duck-like laughter came out of its mouth, and then the skeleton head stopped moving. The crystal-like luster was gradually fading away, turning into an ordinary skeleton.
