Chapter 17

"You're just a half-ling!", Molly yells out.

"No, I'm a pissed-off mother!", I snarl.

Watching as she becomes pale, but her eyes flashed red as someone comes up behind me, grabbing their throat and bringing them towards me while I move my face to get a better look at the person. It's the same professor from the other day; hardening my eyes, tossing them aside, I make my way over to Molly. Everyone else quickly moves out of the way; Molly looks over at the professor's table to see if she could get some help, but the look on her face says that she's royally screwed, which makes me smirk.

"You're all alone, no one is going to save you.", I say, smirking at her.

She continues to back up as I follow her until her back hits a wall; squatting down, I glare at her, before bringing my hand towards her throat but leaving room. Wanting fire to threaten her, and then next thing I know, there was a flame in it; smirking, I glanced up, and Molly's eyes widened in fear.

"I'm only telling this once, come near my daughter and I will make your life a living fucking hell and no matter how much you threaten me with being hunted down by my vampires, I will end you. Stay the fuck away from my daughter.", I tell her as the flame grows.

Nodding her head, I extinguish the fire, and got up; walking away, when I felt Molly getting ready to say something, I included something. "Oh, if you're lying, you'll freeze every time you try to contact my daughter, or foul mouth her if she's near at all.", I state with a smirk.

Walking back towards the doors, I see Zane and Brandon staring at me with their mouths wide open. Raising an eyebrow, I gently close their mouths before grabbing their wrists and heading back to my room.

"I thought you said you were human?", Brandon says causational.

"Apparently, that's not the case as you see.", I say.

"So what are you?", Zane asks.

"I'm a bat with phoenix powers.", I answered.

"What makes little sense.", they both say.

"I know it doesn't."

"But-"

"I'll give you more details when I'm sure of everything.", I tell them.

They nod their heads just as we get in the room; Jess comes running into me, lifting her up. I smile at her.

"Did you take care of the bullies?", she asks.

"Yup, you don't have to worry about them anymore.", I state happily.

She nods her head before she says, "We finished my room, do you want to see?"

"I would love to see your room.", I answered while heading towards her room.

Once we got there, I placed Jess down so she could open her room. Walking into it, I see a beautiful sunset blue with the glow in the dark stars on her ceiling; they put everything else back where they were. My eyes land on her bed with the gray stuffed bear; she notices me staring at the bear.

"Brandon thought it was funny that I only have a stuffed bear but when I told him why, he looked shocked.", she says.

"What did you say to make him shocked?", I ask while sitting on her bed.

"I said that it was the first thing you gave me when you found me.", she says happily.

Smiling softly at the memory, when I first met the little girl; pulling her into a hug, then kissing her crown, and saying, "I'm glad you love it so much."
