The message alert of the system rang in Rod's mind.
"Congratulations! You have completed the hidden level-C task— Save the Auction House, and helped the desperate Howard regain his confidence."
"Reward: 60% shares of the auction house in Sunset City."
"Extra reward: Howard's fondness value for you rose to 85!"
Fondness was a measure of NPC's affection for a player. The full value was 100. The higher the value was, the more affection for a player and the more benefits a player could get from NPC.
0-20: strange
20-40: familiar
40-60: friendly
60-80: friend
80-99: respect
100: faith
Generally, a player's charm could only add NPCs fondness value to familiar for the first time at most.
When the fondness value reached 100 and formed a faith, NPC would become the crazy zealot of the player and the player could order him to do anything.
