CHAPTER 39

Emma couldn't stop the sigh the escape her lips. She felt her chest tightening from the emotional pain she was feeling.

As much as it's true that her parents sold her out, she has been trying hard not to let that affect her but she is hurt by it.

She is affected by the fact that her parents might have never really liked her. Each time she wakes up for the past two weeks, she couldn't help thinking about them.

No matter what, they were people she once loved. Since yesterday she became FRIENDS with Blake, she badly wanted to ask him if she can see her family but then, she doesn't want his mood or attitude to change towards her.

At least, she prefers the way they are now to the previous ways Blake treats her. Since her parents really were the first to leave her, she shouldn't care about them.

Emma stayed in her room for hours, it was boring especially when she has nothing to do.
