　　Peach jumped out of her skin literally. Even though she'd registered the sound of his voice, she was still jumpy. She did a 30 degrees turn, and looked at his grey eyes pointedly, pretending he hadn't rattled her a bit.


　　"Do you make it a point at lurking in secret places?" She asked airily, her mind shifting slightly.


　　Shane pulled back from the wall, jumping right in front of her. This picture was so different from the one she'd painted of him. She knew he didn't know about her present predicaments, but he surely knew she was upset. It was a way of cheering her up, but she refused to be cheered up.


　　"And, do you always go around with a cute frown on your face?" He asked right back.


　　She blinked twice completely disarmed. "I'm sure if you were in my shoes, you'd gift out packets of sweets." She snapped heatedly.
