　　I dove out of the way as the boulder heading straight for me crashed into the ground. Around me, yells echoed as my men attempted to avoid getting hit. There wasn’t much space to move, given the fact that we were in a tight crevice. We needed to locate our attackers quickly. Otherwise, I feared the worst.


　　Looking up, I scanned the area until I could make out a large beast with glowing red eyes staring down at me. It resembled a gorilla, but with a humanoid form. As I began to shift, I let a snarl escape me as I realized that they were Frenrick's beasts.


　　‘They’re ape beasts.’ I hissed to Thomilson through mindlink. ‘Frenrick’s favorite pets.’


　　‘Frenrick’s pets?’ Thomilson repeats in disbelief. ‘How did they find us so quickly?’
