CHAPTER Nine

  Ryland

  I was helping get Lola to her front door; she was messed up. She drank a little too much, but she had fun, that was the main thing.

  “Are you sure you will be alright getting in What if your parents catch you” I laughed.

  “I will be fine,” she slurred, “My parents will be sound asleep, I will be very quiet, shh,” she added, giggling.

  I opened the front door for her, and she staggered in, waving behind her. She left her key in the door, and it was lying wide open. I chuckled, taking the key out and locking the door, posting the keys through the letterbox. I shook my head, going back to the car where Gracie was waiting for me.

  “Will she be alright” I asked.

  “She will be fine, she is a pro at this, no matter how drunk she is,” Gracie laughed.

  I had sobered up, not entirely, but I wasn’t as bad as I was earlier.

  “Do you need to go home right now” I asked.
