  With a spring on my step, I made my way to the library to kill some time with something productive before my next class. I was in a great mood because I somehow found myself in the top three in my class for our most recent paper. I had to ask my professor if it was right when he told me because I didn’t believe it at first. I seemed to thrive in my studies, something I never thought I would say since I was never known for being a good student. It had only been a few weeks, and I was sure it would probably get more challenging, but for now, I seemed to be doing okay. Peter had been helping me study, which fell in my favour. I was so grateful for him and everything he had done for me, for Gracie.

  “Hello, brother,” I heard Matty appearing in front of me.

  “I am not your brother, Matty.” I snapped, looking at him.

  “DNA tells a different story,” he shrugged.
