  We chatted more about his plan while finishing off our coffees, “I better go hide the ring because Lola will be home at any time now.” I grabbed the box, went to my room and placed it in the pocket inside of my handbag, which had a zipper, somewhere I knew it would be secure.

  “Hidden,” I said as I rejoined him.

  “I appreciate it.”

  The weekend just got even more exciting! Lola probably had no idea what Ben had planned; hopefully, she wouldn't work it out.

  It was close to eleven, and we had just arrived at the cabin. We may have gotten a little lost, or should I say, the satnav got us lost, the stupid thing, but we got here in one piece, which was the main thing.

  Lola and I jumped out of the car first, rushing down to the lake, “We will get the bags then” Ryland shouted after us, laughing.

  “That would be great, babe. Thanks.” I laughed. I couldn’t see him, but I bet he was rolling his eyes.
