Was He A Bastard?

Lin Yan arrived at the old house and saw Li Xiao playing with one of the maids. Li Xiao who saw her mother immediately ran to her with a smile on her face as she shouted "Mummy!"

Lin Yan smiled and caught the little girl. She carried her on her arms and asked "Where is your dad?"

Li Xiao pouted and "Daddy just came back, I called him but he didn't answer me."

"Maybe, he is very tired from work. I will go check on him and asked him to apologise to you." Lin said.

She looked at Fang Mei who was sitting quietly in a corner and sighed.

She put Li Xiao down after giving her a peck on her cheek and told the maid to take care of her.

Lin Yan went to the room and she could hear the shower running. 'Is he taking a bath?'

Her eyes went to his clothes on the floor and something caught her attention, she picked his shirt up and was shocked when she saw that it was indeed blood.

"What are you doing?"

Lin Yan who was starlted immediately drop the shirt and turned to look at Li Lingyun. His hair was wet and he only had a towel tied round his waist. He body was way better than Li Jun, for a moment she was tied tongue, not because of the blood but because of Li Lingyun almost naked appearance.

Li Lingyun saw the shirt she dropped on the floor and said "Were you going through my things?"

Lin Yan immediately came back to her senses as she said "No, I wasn't. But just out of curiosity, did you kill someone?"

Li Lingyun walked closer to her and wrapped his hands round her waist as he bought her closer to him, then he whispered "Does that make you scared of me?"

Due to the close proximity, Lin Yan breath became heavier without her even realizing as she replied "No, it doesn't."

Li Lingyun looked at her eyes and he saw not even a single fear on them and he thought 'she really have changed, if it was before she would have been hitting and cursing him. Calling him a monster and how much she wanted a divorce to be with Mu Chen.' And when he noticed her breathing, his eyes moved to her lips, he stared at it for a few seconds, before letting go of her. Li Lingyun felt he was going crazy, if that wasn't the case then why would he stared at her lips, why would he even think of kissing her.

Lin Yan on the other hand wondered what was wrong with her, she felt as if she was under a spell, seeing as how Li Lingyun was frowning, she wondered if he was angry but still she wanted to know the answer to her question. "Did you really kill someone? Is that why there is blood on your shirt."

"Stop asking."

"Why? I would like to know the person I am married to, so answer me."

"Yes, I did. It was a man who had a family and I shot him four times and ordered Gu Wei to feed his body to the shark. Have I satisfied your curiosity?"

Lin Yan blood ran cold. She knew this man was capable of killing but hearing him admit it was a totally different thing. Lin Yan sighed and asked "Was he a bastard?"

Li Lingyun was surprised by that question, he thought that now that he has admitted to it she would go hysterical but instead she was actually asking him if the man he killed was a bastard. Was Shen Yi always like this.

"You heard of what happened to my parents right?"

"Yes. They were all involved and in an accident."

"The man was the one who caused it. He hit their car with his truck and they couldn't survived but he did. "

"That means it wasn't just an accident right?" Lin Yan asked. .

"No it wasn't and I am still investigating." Li Lingyun said. He looked at Lin Yan and saw that she was hesitating to say something so he asked "What is it you want to say."

"His family, did you also kill them?"

Li Lingyun was silent for a few seconds before saying "His confession spared his family lives."

Lin Yan nodded and said "Today I met with Mu Chen. I broke up with him."

Li Lingyun would be lying if he said that he was not surprised by that. He knew that Shen Yi loved Mu Chen, he was never expecting her to break up with him so soon. "That's good. I don't have to worry about killing him too."

Lin Yan wanted to say something when they heard Li Xiao cry from downstairs.

"I will check on Li Xiao, in the meantime get dressed." Lin Yan said.

Seeing Shen Yi leaving to check on their daughter, made him realized that his daughter now have a mother and that actually made him happy.

Meanwhile, when Lin Yan went downstairs, she saw Li Xiao and Fang Mei crying, but what made her angry was Fang Min scolding her daughter.

"How dare you hit her, because of you, my Fang Mei is injured."

"What is going on here? Who gave you the right to scream at my great grand daughter!" Old master Li.

It was as if everybody heard the commotion. At this moment, Old master Li, Wang Hua and Li Jun were already in the living room.

Li Xiao who saw her grand father immediately ran to him and hid behind his legs. And as for Lin Yan, she just stood there without saying anything.

Li Jun looked at Fang Min and asked "What happened?"

"Fang Mei just wanted to play with Li Xiao toy but instead of sharing her toy with Fang Mei, she pushed her. Just looked at the injury on her hands." Indeed, Fang Mei was injured. There was a small cut on her hand that was bringing out blood.

Fang Mei cried the more, to show that she was really in pain.

Li Xiao who was hiding behind old master Li shouted "That is not true."

"If it isn't true, then defend yourself. Stop hiding like you did something wrong." Lin Yan said firmly.

Li Xiao who has finally noticed her mother presence, tear up when she heard the strict way she was talking to her. Did mummy also believe that I pushed Fang Mei.

Li Xiao came out of hiding, she pointed at Fang Min and said "She is lying, I didn't pushed anyone. I was playing with my doll, when Fang Mei came and started dragging the doll with me, she fell on the floor when the doll broke. Mummy believe me."

Lin Yan smiled and said "I believe you. I only said that because I wanted you to learn that whenever you are accused wrongly, you should never hide and take the blame, instead you fight. Got it?"

Li Xiao nodded her head.

Li Lingyun who have been watching the whole scene ever since Lin Yan first spoke up, smiled and said loudly "Li Jun, is this how you have bought up your daughter? To be a liar and a manipulative child, who desires things that doesn't belong to them. There is truly no doubt that she is both yours and Fang Min child."

Lin Yan looked at Fang Min and said "This is the first time you are coming to the old house, we allowed you to stayed because of your daughter and your unborn child but you cause nothing but trouble, however i do not blame you, it was us who expected too much from a mere mistress."

"Enough!" Old master Li shouted. He looked at Shen Yi and said "You should watch the words you say in front of the kids." And then he looked at Fang Min and said "And as for you, never raise your voice at my great grand daughter. Remember, you are no one in this family."

Fang Min clenched her fist in anger and swore in her heart to get rid of this old man once she marries Li Jun.
