"Queen? Where the hell am I?" he asked out loud. "And who set that stupid rule?"
"You are in the Dragon Empire and yes the Queen is here along with other important figures in the country. They heard about the Lord's message and rushed right over," he replied to her questions.
"What Lord and what is the message?" he asked out of curiosity.
"The Lord is the ruler of this whole continent. He is very powerful and runs the starry formation and he said that you together with your siblings must report to the most prestigious school on the continent as a gift to the king's outstanding work," Nuru said in a sleepy state.
"What is a starry formation,"
"Everyone in this world exists in form of a star and that means that as the Lord of this continent then it is his job to oversee every life here. The star is like your soul and if he removed your star from the formation then you die," Nuru paused momentarily to make sure that Latham processed his words.
"If he puts your star back once it falls then you come back to life. He can manipulate the stars to decide who becomes strong and who is weak or who is powerful and who is not. To decide who gets to rule specific parts of the continent," he added.
"So technically this Lord has a toy that manipulates people's lives," he concluded.
"Yes, so don't offend him. He can also destroy your soul and scatter it across the world with a flick of his finger. No matter what happens DO NOT OFFEND HIM," he warned Latham.
"Okay, I won't. So to be clear he is powerful, can he also control time?" she asked getting excited to hear about this Lord.
"Yes he is an Ultimate rank so he can control time," he replied.
"What is an Ultimate tier?" Latham asked confused at the weird terms he was using.
"An ultimate tier is someone who can control the four T's," Nuru stated in an "its so obvious" manner.
"What are the four T's?" Latham asked irritating the fox who woke up from his sleep. He has never met anyone more idiotic in his 5,000 years of existence.
"Where were you born young one, even a three-year-old kid knows what the four T's are. Anyway, the four T's are the power of Telepathy, Time, Teleportation, and Telekinesis," he said and repositioned himself to sleep.
"Cool, so what powers do I have?" she asked excitedly.
"Level four, your body, it was also full of impurities," he replied.
" Can you tell me about the levels and what level do I have to reach to control time and become a tier?" he asked with full excitement about learning and becoming powerful. The thought of having powers was making Latham happy.
The fox broke out in laughter when he heard what Latham said. He wasn't just an idiot but also a comedian. He thinks that he can become a tier from level four.
" The highest level you can reach in this continent is level 14 and then you ascend to the heavens. In heaven, a level 14 is the beginner level and you need to level up to level 50 to be considered a silver guardian. A level 60 is considered capable of being given the title Asedai and then a level 100 gets the title, Lord. A level 500 practitioner becomes a tier of telepathy and adds another five hundred on that and you keep mastering the tiers and a level 2000 can control all four tiers and become an Ultimate master tier. Also, note that it takes years to ascend the heavens let alone become an ultimate master," Nuru replied calmly and slowly so Latham understands.
He was shocked so much after hearing that. He wanted to become a tier and go back home but now it all seemed impossible.
"So how old is the Lord exactly?"
"Oh, not very old. He is just 15,000 years old," he replied and drifted off to sleep.
"Fifteen thousand and you say he is not very old then who would you consider to be old?" she asked terrified.
"The king of the heavens, he is 50,000 years old," Nuru said and Latham's mind almost exploded.
He wasn't aware that there was a world where people could live for that long. On earth, the most a person can live is less than a hundred years.
Latham was thunderstruck by the news. It was no wonder the man could kill someone so easily, he had lived so long he must have mustered all the techniques capable of ending people's lives in boredom.
He couldn't help but wonder what the man did for fun. Torturing transmigrated souls seemed to be one of them, but to live for that long, the man must have grown tired of every single hobby in existence.
Nuru opened his eyes and stared at the human. The thoughts Latham was having of the Lord we could get him killed. But the fix had to hand it to the boy, he was the first person to ever understand the Lord.
Everyone else heard about his power and immortality and we're envious. They never truly understood what it meant to walk in his shoes. It was no wonder he found that the Lord liked the boy.
He liked Latham enough to part ways with him, his favorite beast, and leave him with the boy. It was a wonder that he was seeing for the first time.
"Be careful my boy, the love of a god is both a blessing and a curse," he advised Latham who turned around and looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.
Confused by the warning as he wasn't in love with a god. His eyes had never even had the honor of meeting a god, let alone fancy one.
"Say that to someone who has met a god," he let out to the fox. The fox acted knowing but it seemed to be lacking in knowledge too.
'The Lord is a god you dummy,' The fox cursed internally remembering not to reveal his master's identity to the boy.
