Nightmare

A masked figure rushes through the large, intricately decorated corridors, he stumbles.

*thud*

He trips to the floor.

*drip…drip….drip*

Blood stains the floor where he ran, still dripping from his back, which is marred by two large bloody gashes.

"Huh…..huh….huh….DAMN IT!!" He shouts as he slams his fist on the ground.

*step…..step….step…step..step.step.step.STEP…thud..thud..THUD*

"Found…you….ehahahahahahe…..little bird….you can't get awaaaay" a voice echos in the eerie silence, the footsteps getting louder and louder and LOUDER!

"Ahh..ahhh…AHHHHH NO NOT AGAIN PLEASE…..please don't hurt me again!" The collapsed man screams, the blood loss preventing him from escaping.

"Lucas!"

"No…no….stay away!"

"Lucas wake up!"

"No…not again! Please don't!"

*"LUCAS GET UP"*

Lucas's eyes shoot open, their golden glow slightly dimmed, from the fear of his past.

"Oh yer finally awake kid? Must've been one hell'uva nightmare, you where sweating and crying like crazy!"

Lucas diverts his attention to the source of the frustrating, yet comforting voice.

He stares daggers at the man, who stands 7'4, with a short grey beard, and close shaved black hair with specs of silver, the man stands tall with his large muscular frame, his arms coated with scars of differing sizes show of the adventurous life he's lived, his black eyes hide a cunning un-befitting of his frame, the intricate blade stands stabbed into the ground next to him as he stands arms akimbo, with a foolish grin seemingly permanently glued to his face.

"Ughhh….morning old man." Lucas says with a roll of his golden eyes, finally fed up with hearing the same words every time he wakes up.

The larger man's eyes twitch ever so slightly at the not so fond nickname.

"Damn it! Brat for the last time call me my name ya hear me! Say it after me S..H..A..N…E…Shane! Now say it" the man shouts still barely maintaining the grin on his face.

"Fine…morning Shane!…you damn old man"

"I heard that brat!" Shane shouts, no longer able to keep his grin.

And so begins another day.

This is very different to the other novel I'm writing. This is meant to be a lot more serious, and hopefully actually something people want to read ;)

And yeah I know this is a very short chapter not even 500 words including these ones, wow I guess I'll spend a while writing the next one to make up for it 0w0 (sorry)
