The Bottom of the Stairs

After a few hours, Lucia woke up early since she couldn't sleep well and felt discomfort for the whole night. That made her highly fatigued by the morning.

"Ugh, this sucks," Lucia whispered as she groaned while looking at the ceiling. She felt her body was thrown in the ocean and swept against the rocks.

Lucia sat up and forced herself to walk toward the mirror plastered on the wall. She could see dark circles under her eyes and how her skin sulked on her cheeks.

"Oh my god!" Lucia exclaimed while touching her face. "Am I that dehydrated?"

Lucia looked around for a water supply but found none in her room. She sighed as she put on a cloak she saw in her closet and went outside.

The sun barely came out, yet Lucia was tiptoeing toward the kitchen. However, a memory from the past kept hunting her.

That was the day when Lucia saw the dead human bodies being cut into pieces like animals.
