It's been five months since he found out about Vanzirn and Vanderwood's relationship. Kevin never told anyone about what happened that night except for Zack.

It's Wednesday afternoon when Jason finds him in the basement and tells him to meet him in the gym in twenty minutes, Kevin quickly gathers his stuff, puts his hoodie on and leaves, he's surprised by the sudden visit, especially since Zack usually avoids him whenever he can.

When he reaches the gym, Kevin spots Zack standing with his back to him and he decides to join him. When he gets close enough to hear what Zack is talking about, Kevin stops walking and leans against the wall behind him as he,

listens to Zack.

"...she asked me to stay in the room for a bit" Zack finishes, sounding a little disappointed and upset.

Kevin knows that what Zack is referring to is Vanzirn, but he also knows that he doesn't really have a right to tell him anything. But he knows that he has feelings for Vanderwood and so he does what anyone would do, he decides to talk to him.

Kevin takes a step forward and says, "I have feelings for him, too."

Zack turns around and looks at Kevin for a second then looks away, he doesn't seem happy, he looks like he's trying hard not to cry.

How did you find out that I had feelings for someone and didn't want to tell anyone" Zack asks without turning his gaze to Kevin.

"Well, I went home one evening and got drunk and decided to tell you because I thought that I owed you that much at least" Kevin explains as Zack gives him a confused and hurt look.

"What made you decide to tell me?" Zack asks.

Kevin looks at his feet as he answers "Because....I care for you".

Zack closes his eyes and rubs his temples before answering,

"Why'd you feel you had to?"

"Because...I..."

"Because you what Kevin?" Zack interrupts

him.

"I love you"

Zack freezes for few seconds, he opens his eyes and stares directly into Kevin's, they both hold each other's gaze for a couple of seconds until Zack breaks eye contact, he clears his throat and looks away "Are you...crying?"

Kevin shakes his head no.

"Then why are you looking at the floor like that?"

"Because..I....it doesn't matter anymore because it doesn't matter who I love, because I know what you guys are capable of..and because you're both way stronger than me, it doesn't matter whether or not I love someone...it's impossible for me to win over either
