Chapter 101 An Apology

"You can come out of this room." A voice in my head spoke out of nowhere, and I jolted up to a sitting position.

"Are you okay?" Cal asked from a corner in the room where he sat ideally, but I didn't reply because I was too busy wondering which voice spoke in my head.

Did I hear right, or was I imagining things now?

"You can get out of this room," the voice repeated. It was mine. My own voice in my head.

"All you have to do is burn it down." The voice was calm but filled with spite. There was a dark dept in the tone.

"Who are you?" I whispered. This wasn't the case between Maria and Seraphina, no. I was both of them. What I didn't understand was which voice was in my head.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Cal advance towards me, but I lifted my hand to stop him.

"Don't." I didn't know if it was safe. At this rate, even ghosts were not safe with me.
