Chapter 5

Sengoku looked at the stunned Kizaru and patted Garp's arm while smiling.

"Everyone relax. As I said, Borsalino is completely innocent."

"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Look at how frightened he is."

Laughed Sengoku after returning to his human form.

"Don't be nervous Kizaru. Let's talk."

"I..."

Kizaru looked at the crowd and wanted to explain. It's just that he got stuck trying to do so.

Hello everyone, I just took a nap, woke up, and went fishing. After finishing my favorite hobby, I got bewildered by some weird news from my subordinates.

He just couldn't.

Seeing the struggling appearance of Kizaru, Sengoku looked at Garp on the side and said solemnly: "It seems that our Admiral here is guilty. Does this guilt have anything to do with the revolutionary army?"

Without wasting a second, the Golden Buddha reappeared and smashed alongside the Admirals and Vice Admirals.

"Stop struggling, Kizaru, tell us, why did you attack Impel Down?!"

Asked Akainu coldly while glaring daggers at Borsalino.

"Me?"

Kizaru looked at Akainu, trying to think of what to say. Knowing this guy, he probably is looking for an excuse to punch him.

"I... I might have sleepwalked while taking a nap?"

"Sleepwalking?"

Kizaru just didn't know what to say anymore. This is the only thing he could think of. He doesn't have an alibi. No one to defend him.

Sengoku got stunned and the corners of his mouth twitched.

"Very good. Sleepwalking? That's an excellent excuse."

He kept nodding, showing that he believed Kizaru without any doubts.

The others also relaxed after seeing this. What he said right now made some sense.

Seeing everyone relaxing, Kizaru is the one who got stunned this time. It seems that his excuse is concrete and a bit logical. This way, he might not be labeled as a defector or a revolutionary agent.

"Kizaru, we are going to fight with Whitebeard. You have to stay put at Marineford and not work overseas anymore."

Giving Kizaru a fierce look, Sengoku continued: "This may be the only chance to prove your loyalty to the navy. If you try to escape, you can. Just know that all your relatives, including your wife and children, are all caught by the government. Work hard and be obedient."

"Fleet Admiral, I promise to fight against Whitebeard with all my might!"

Kizaru replied with a sharp look.

Sengoku laughed, patting Kizaru's shoulder.

"Don't let me down, Borsalino."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Sah, the days of fishing are coming to an end."

Kizaru watched everyone leave and looked at the sky, feeling that his life had become hellish.

"Did I sleepwalk, though?"

Kizaru seemed to believe this.

"No, I have to go there and check the situation out. Maybe I can find some clues that can prove my innocence."

As for believing Sengoku that the government would not harm his relatives if he stayed obedient.

'Bah! Not harm them, my arse! I wasn't born yesterday.'
