Lucas' POV

She stopped laughing and stared at me.

"Really? Do I really look pretty?", she asked softly and I nodded my head unconsciously.

The image of her standing at her door earlier flashing in my brain. Standing at the door with her smooth skin to her cute little tommy bump, even with her stubborn hair loose, she looked absolutely beautiful.

"Yes, very pretty", I said.

She studied me intently, as if trying to discern if I was lying. Whether she confirmed my words or not, I wouldn't know because she didn't say anything else and just turned her attention back to her books. But I was sure I saw a small smile creep on her lips.

With Tiana not saying anything and her head bent over her book, I took my time and glanced around the living room again. The decorations of the living room were exquisite and classy. From the marble coffee table I was currently sitting in front of to the chairs that were in the color cream, everything looked amazing.
