Chapter 6

Lord Xavier?

The fourth king standing in front of her. Daisy jaw-dropped seeing him. She tilted her head, looking at the man from head to toe. Is he alive? Because she could see him pale as if there was no blood in his body.

"Are you alive? You look like..." She steps forward to him and slowly brings her fingertip to his cheek. "Death. And you feel so cold. Are you even a human? Wait. Of course not. What am I thinking? 95% of people in this world might not be human." Daisy chuckles.

"You sure talk a lot, snowball." Xavier rolls his eyes.

"Hehehe, sorry." She sheepishly smiles. "Oh! My name is Daisy."

Xavier didn't respond. His gaze went from head to toe as if scanning her. So, this is the chosen one. He can smell her sweet blood and it smells so strong. It makes him almost lose control but manages to hold his bloodlust behind.

Seeing the man in front of her didn't speak, she start to grow worried. "Mister? Hello? Are you still there?"

Suddenly, she got lifted. The girl yelps in shock. Gideon smirks at her. That's when she realises, she was in his arms. With his hand under her butt, holding her like a toddler.

"Um...G--Gideon?"

"Look like you met Xavier. My fourth brother. He's a vampire. So, smell your sweet scent is kinda addicting." He explains.

Sweet scent?

"But...isn't that only happened to his mate?" She frowns.

Hearing her statement makes the two guys exchange looks. Their eyes already show something they have to explain to her. Daisy furrows her eyebrows, hating the fact they had something that hasn't been explained to her.

"We will explain it to you tomorrow. We promise. Because today, some of my brothers couldn't come due to their work. So we have to wait." Gideon smiles, puts her down, and pats her head.

"Fine..." She pouts.

"Stop with your pouts. Go to eat." Xavier demands with the firm.

Just hearing his firm voice, already make Daisy rush towards the kitchen. Even though she lost her way, Gideon immediately told her the way. "You come?" He asks his brother.

"Maybe no. I want to sleep" He stretched his arms and went upstairs. Gideon just shakes his head knowing his brother is the lazy one.

Gideon walks into the kitchen, a smile forming on his face when saw Daisy sitting there in the big dining room. She looks so petite. There are seven chairs for all brothers to eat there.

He can't wait to see what happened if everyone's here and Daisy doesn't have seat to sit.

"What do you have there, little girl?" He sits beside her.

"I don't even ask for this but let me be honest." Daisy starts. "This is the most delicious meal I ever had in my whole life!!" She beams.

"Glad to hear that, little girl." He chuckles and eats with her.

The atmosphere was peaceful. She just keeps eating and it is hard for her to stop. The food was too delicious. While Gideon is already finished and just watching her eat.

Finally, after hundreds of years, a choice has arrived. They wait for so long and here this girl is, innocent and sweet. Not aware of anything. Feeling like someone watching her, she lifted her gaze.

"Are you going to eat that?" She asks.

Gideon snaps out of his thought. "Oh, this? You want?" He arches his eyebrows. Earning nods from her he smiles. "Open your mouth, little girl." He moves the spoon near her lips.

The action makes Daisy flustered. She never asks anyone to feed her nor women or men. But this is out of a sudden. "Uhhh..."

"I'm waiting, little girl." He smirks.

She clears her throat. Her mouth opens slowly and the man gently feeds her. Such a cute and shy girl. That thought makes Gideon chuckle. "What so funny?" Daisy asks still munching the food.

"Nothing. Enjoy your food, little girl." He pats her head.

She walks around the castle, feeling bored take over her. She felt like she walking for hours already. There's nothing she can do. Gideon didn't let her go out by herself. Not that she wants it anyway.

The memory of her gotchas by those two big ugly creatures makes her shiver in fear. "It kinda funny the way you run away from it." Otis came out.

"Oh please. You don't even there to help me. Such great guidance of you." She sarcastically spokes.

"I can't. You don't ask for me that time." He states.

"How should I!? I don't even know there's guidance named Otis in MY necklace." Daisy rolls her eyes. She opens one big door and looks around it. "You can't blame me for that."

"I don't blame you. Don't say that." He sighs.

"But...you did come out without me asking." She frowns.

"Because that time you were in danger and almost lost your life. I don't have a choice but to come out and I also got told to do that. I can't let my owner die." Otis explains.

The girl mouthed 'o'. She looks around the room. There's nothing in it but one single closet in the middle of the room. "Wow. One room for one closet?" She spokes.

She got closer to the closet and was about to open it-- "What are you doing here?" A harsh voice makes her yelp in shock. She turn around and saw Xavier standing there.

"Umm...open this closet?" She makes it sound like a question.

Xavier walks towards her. "You are a curious snowball." He sighs.

"Why? Is it wrong? Being curious is good, you know. You can learn." She crosses her arms try to act brave.

The man looks at her. Yes, it is good. But if the person couldn't control it, it calls to kill them. Curiosity kills the cat. He steps closer and bends to her height. "Have you ever heard curiosity kill the cat at your world?" Xavier asks.

"I--I did." She nods.

"Better keep that in your mind. You just new here and you don't know what can kill you." He smirks.

Daisy hates the fact that this guy trying to scare her. Yes, she is a coward. But it depends. And she hates it when someone trying to scare her. It likes that person trying to bring down her spirit.

"I just want to know what's inside it. I mean--you can't blame me!! Even you are also curious when seeing a single closet in this room without any stuff. Even worse? This closet lock!!" Daisy throws her hands in the air. Showing frustrated sign.

The man rolls his eyes. "It's not your time to know about this. Let's go." He grabs her hand and drags her with him. "Can't you sit still and be a good girl?"

"I'm sorry, mister. But I'm bored and don't have anything to do." Daisy scoffs.

"You have Otis. Play with him."

"What do you think I am? A kid? A five-year-old kid?" She asks with an offended look. " Excuse me, mister. I'm a young adult. I'm a woman and not a little girl." Daisy huffs.

"Yeah, that explains why Gideon calls you a little girl. Because you are not aware of yourself. Have your parents never taught you how to be aware of yourself? Geez, I don't know there's a type of that parent in your world." Xavier states. Not knowing what he talks gives an effect on the girl he drags with.

Hearing those statements from him only makes the girl fuming in annoyance. She pulls back her hand causing both of them to stop. She crosses her hands on her chest and Xavier just looks at her with no expression.

"I have been taking care of myself for years. Is that what a little girl could do? I'm aware of myself not like you, mister. And no. My parents didn't teach me anything because I don't have them." With that, Daisy stomps away. How can he say that to her as if he knows her well?

She didn't know where she goes but she just continues walking. Otis keeps following her without saying anything. Daisy went out and saw a park. She makes herself sit on the benches in front of the fountain.

"Are you okay?" Otis asks. Only got a hum from her. "No, you are not. I can feel your emotion."

"Then, why are you asking if you know I'm not?" She grunts.

"Just because." Otis chuckles. "Lord Xavier probably didn't mean to say it like that." He said.

"Yeah, whatever. I just...miss my parents. What's wrong with having a daughter like me? Am I that...useless? Worthless?" She mumbles.

"Why are you saying that?"

"Because that is the reason why my parents left me. And everyone did. Usually, I don't care when people talk about my parent but this time I feel...overwhelmed. Maybe because of the situation I'm in right now." She smiles sadly.

Otis didnt say anything back but instead, he gets back to the necklace. Without saying anything, a white light appeared around her. "What the-- Otis. What happened to me?"

"You glowing." He simply said.

"I know that idiot!! Dude!! It scared me!!" She scolds him. She stood up and spin around. More sparkles came out of her like dust. "No way!! This is awesome!!" She laughing.

Daisy jumps around causing more sparkles to come out of her. Now, she looks like a little girl playing in the rain and jumping in the mud. Otis mentally smiles knowing he manages to bring back that smile. Oh well, she is not bad at all to be her guide.

Meanwhile, Xavier behind who saw everything also slightly smile. Honestly, he felt bad. But, he's not good at apologies.

"Seem like you attached to her in just one day." Gideon appeared beside him.

"Same as you, brother." He rolls his eyes.

"I know. But who said that he wouldn't fall for whoever is the chosen one?" The oldest smirks. Feel happy to tease his brother. "I wonder who..."

"Such a bullshit, aren't you?" Xavier grunts and walks away.

With that, Gideon burst into laughter. "Oh come on!! Just admit that!!" He laughing.
