Temporary Respite

Alistair saw the stars fading, leaving a simple looking white walled room with wooden flooring. A pedestal holding a silver orb lay in the centre of the room. This was the true visage of the job room.

"Then what the hell did I see?"

Alistair inspected his body for strange changes. Luckily, there wasn't any major change. However, his runic tattoo seemed to have grown across his entire upper body, reaching his pelvis and ass.

"Strange, it doesn't feel unnatural, almost feels like I was born with this tattoo..."

He noticed within the centre of his chest a small diamond almost seemed alive, throbbing like his heart. Alistair believed this was linked to both his job and the demonic beast race..

"I'm slowly changing?"

He felt worried about his future, his mind changing, feeling like someone different, like only wanting to warn Ludia by choking her. Rather than using her weakness, forcing her to climax.

"..."

Alistair sat down in a wooden chair. His mind thinking about his past, how originally being just your average guy working nine to five, renting a lonely one-bedroom apartment, and reading his novels.

"When did I become so confident?"

"So impulsive?"

With closed eyes, Alistair felt the cool breeze from an open window blowing against his skin. His mind wasn't calm. Several thoughts passing through his mind. His meeting with Celia, partnership with Mera, violating Luna, Alistair's thoughts began spiraling into negatives constantly.

Thinking back to his dark life being abandoned. Once again, questioning himself.

"Can I really be here?"

Suddenly, Alistair felt a warmth spread through his body. Mera was sending thoughts towards him, conveying that he belonged here. That he'd always have a place beside her with the last flurried words reaching his ears completely.

"Without you, I would remain trapped inside my own hellish world!"

Although her words couldn't fix all his doubts and insecurities, her messages gave his mind the support it needed most.

"Thank you... Mera!"

Mera, inside her classroom, also heard the last unvoiced part inside her mind, Alistair showing affection towards her for the first time since they met, driving her crazy with elation.

Alistair felt nothing but excitement from her link now, honestly surprised how far she could connect. He'd tested his limits with Celia, which turned out to be roughly five hundred metres' distance before becoming less accurate.

His mind began believing Mera should have summoned him, not knowing Celia's would be similar once her heart's knots were opened like Meras the night he'd restored her witch's qualification.

"Well, I should get going," Alistair said.

Alistair raised his body, exiting the job room, worried he'd done something wrong in accepting his strange job. However, upon checking his Adventurers card, showing a standard job instead.

Ludia walked towards him, seeing her carrying no hostile intent, allowed her approach. Alistair took another look at the trio, thinking to himself about how almost every woman in this world is beautiful. "Was it because of the mana in this world? Or maybe because they'd leveled quite high?"

Alistair watched as her muscular body bowed towards him. Strange how different she seemed when acting meek and vulnerable. He held back the urge to pat her head now within his arms' reach, waiting for what she had to say for herself.

Ludia took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry! Forgive me for acting like a disgusting inelegant pig!" Ludia said, her voice much less husky, almost like an elegant princess.

Alistair noticed something dangling from her neck. It was a black pendant with a golden wolf. This image was common in the history book Celia lent for him to read. Almost praying for him to be mistaken in his guess, Ludia continued speaking.

"Allow me to once again introduce myself. Thy name Ludia Van Gardia, former second princess of the Gardia Empire. These two are my servants and protectors."

"Then why did they let me sexually assault and almost kill you..." Alistair thought, looking at the two maids.

Ludia gave an elegant bow, revealing her large cleavage, leaning down and kissing Alistair's hand, the exact opposite etiquette from his own world. However, the feeling of soft lips against his hand allowed him to accept the changes.

"Fuck! I was right, where is the damn load button!!" Alistair thought. Sweat began dripping down his temples.

Alistair could still see the deep purple markings from his choking her earlier. However, his danger senses were tingling, not for this reason but the glint in her eye reminding him of Mera after several rounds before she temped him to continue. Yes, like a beast who found her prey.

She began approaching him, feeling her warm, sweet breath tickling his ear. She whispered to him something betraying the romantic feeling others believed they had.

"Even though I've been dropped from succession, my daddy is extremely pampering towards me, his youngest child! How would an emperor react hearing his daughter was forced to climax in public by a beastman at that!?"

Alistair swallowed some spit, realising the gravity of the situation. Not only himself, but Celia may be involved. The Gardia Empire has a long-standing grudge against the Bestia Union, having fought many wars with neither side ever coming out the clear victor. He began preparing on how to solve the situation immediately.

Only to feel her arms around his back with a light kiss on his ear, followed by another whisper.

"So, please do that to me again! Next time, when it's only the two of us."

Ludia slowly began pulling backwards, her eyes filled with adoration and lust. Her hands stroking his body as much as possible before leaving his personal space. With a regretful smile, removing the pendant from her neck, giving it a sorrowful look, before applying it to Alistair's neck. The lock snapped shut almost magically, waking Alistair up from his dreamlike state.

Alistair looked down towards the necklace, then looking towards Ludia, seeing her smirk. He realised he'd be had! This was all a ruse. Something about this pendant is very important and he really couldn't bear to find out what it was! With a nod towards the three women, like a genuine man faced with unbeatable odds, he fled from the guild as fast as his legs could carry him.

"Fuck! These god damn snake women coiling around me!" Alistair thought.

He waved goodbye to Alurim before leaving. Most of the women knew what it meant for Gardian royalty to gift their necklace to the opposite sex, found it extremely exciting for a beastman to receive it.

After Alistair left.

"Princess!? What about your engagement to the Kingdom of Celera's first prince!?" Maid A said.

Ludia ignored both the annoying watchers sent by her mother. Now that she'd made a move, she'd stick to it forever. Even now, still feeling his tight grasp upon her life, increasing her body's heat.

"Who cares about some Simpy little prince? I want someone like him who will dominate me to treat me like an animal. The fact he's a beastman makes me even happier!!" Ludia said. Her voice was rather loud, currently still in daydream mode.

"He is the man I've chosen. Father will support me. He always has. Mother will just have to accept I've already given my oath of chastity to Alistair, my only prince."

The younger maid listened to Ludia, thinking she had a point, however voiced one concern.

"He seemed to have other women. Are you truly alright with that? He's even rumoured being a Guardian Beast"

"Hah! What a good man doesn't have many women, and he's clearly the best man among all!"

The two maids knew this princess wasn't as stupid as she seemed, yet still was an idiot most of the time, seeing the surroundings getting rather busy and hearing gossip they dragged the adamant princess towards their rented apartment, followed by the whispers of other guild members.

Several spies from other countries hidden within the guild sending out reports of this action, including the dark elf spy Alurim. The princesses word would soon reach the ears of all the large kingdoms, causing many responses like anger, laughter and some not even caring in the slightest, only wondering about this imaginary dominant male whilst looking at their soft wimpy husbands.

---------------

Oblivious about his actions, Alistar was now running freely inside a beautiful forest with massive trees almost 20 metres high, thick branches strong enough to swing upon with ease. He could only let down his guard because of his excessively powerful senses. Both his hearing and smell could sense over five hundred metres.

His hair whistling through the wind, hopping from branch to branch causing the poor birds to flee in panic, leaving their children behind. Alistair ignored these birds, not even classifying them as prey. Unknown to himself, this was caused by the side effect of the Soul Eater job. From now on, normal food would be less appetising to him, often appearing disgusting. Only the souls of monsters could fill his appetite or eating his enemy's organs whilst still fresh could satiate him.

Thud!

If you looked into his eyes, you'd see they'd become slightly more bestial, almost identical to his Wolf King Form, the awakening of the job and stress he'd experienced leading him to give up thoughts as his instincts had taken over.

Alistair dropped from the tree, causing a small crater in the dirt, the impact causing all his leg muscles to tense before crouching down and firing forwards again, chasing an extremely appetising scent.

Two hundred metres away, two goblins were skinning a black furred wolf, likely their dinner. One goblin was kneeling down, cutting the fur slowly, obviously trying to keep its quality as high as possible.

'Let's hurry home. With this, we'll stay warm during winter.' Goblin A. (Goblin Language)

Before goblin B could respond, feeling a gust of wind from its side, goblin B was felt a great impact before intense pain piercing its neck. Goblin B began flying across the air from the impact before looking towards its assailant.

'Wolf Goddess!?' Goblin A screamed.

Bang!

Goblin B's body slammed into an extremely thick tree, smashing most of its body into paste, whilst still barely alive, being devoured by the evil wolf god, seeming to get revenge for the dead black wolf. Filled with despair, with each bite of flesh, a part of the goblin's soul was devoured, its eyes fading, becoming empty.

Goblin A rising to its feet as quickly as possible, aiming to save her sister. However, the scene before her caused fear overwhelming her. This humanoid wolf god had devoured her sister within seconds, its evil piercing eyes never leaving her, despite eating her sister.

'Why!? We had to live, the winter is tough! Forgive us, Wolf Goddess, for killing your spawn!'

Goblin A was petrified, the demon like wolf scarier than any troll or orc she'd ever met. At least they'd only steal their males for copulation. This thing.

'When did the goddess become a male? When did a Male have such destructive power?'

Tears of sorrow and despair fell from her eyes as the white-haired demon god approached her.

----

"Even though they look disgusting. The taste is to die for Haha... Peh!" Alistair said, spitting out some of the Goblin's bones approaching the second cowering goblin.

"Oh look, another one. However, I'm not as hungry now what to do..."

Alistair extended his wolf's claws, approaching the Goblin with an emotionless face, like a demon lord approaching the virgin saint. His hand gripped the petrified goblin's neck, squeezing the life from its body. Whilst wearing a faint malevolent grin as his claws pierced into its green neck inch by inch.
