[System massage]
Tutorial stage 1
Survive from D rank monsters until 6:00 P.M.
Time remaining: 5 hours 58 minutes.
Monster types: Yale_Ghoul_Ettin.
[Massage end]
Sitting down beside one of the few trees that were present in the domain Silvia set up, I both look out for monsters and try to find more information about this world from the system.
I do focus more on keeping a look out for monsters though.
We needed something to arm ourselves from the D rank monsters we are going to face that are Yale's, ghouls and ettins. So we took the big and sharp branches of the trees in the domain.
This made me question the ranking table of the different races of monsters in this world and their ranking. So I tried to make the system show me it and it did just that.
The appeared screen is as follows:

Even before reaching the monsters, something catches my eye. Hey, what the hell is this? What is a hidden title? God, surprises just keep coming today huh? I'm quite curious, but now is not the time to think about that.
I skip monsters from ranks other than D and go straight to the D rank monster section.
There are three monsters available, and they are the exact same as in the massage. But there is another feature that is very useful, it shows me the level cap of every monster present. According to the board, as the rank goes up, the level cap increases by 20. And the level cap of D rank monsters are 60. This is worrying, considering we are only level one and we can encounter a level 60 D rank monster, sixty times above our level and defeating it will be impossible, especially for me seeing that my stats are lower than an average level 1.
Although Silvia is strong as a level 1, I'm pretty certain she doesn't have even a glimmer of a chance of wining against a level 60 monster.
All I can do right now is to rely on luck and hope that we won't encounter such strong monsters.
I asked the system about more information on rank D monsters.
[D rank monster information]
Yale: Hippopotamus-sized creature with black fur, elephant tail, boar-jaws, and movable horns that can point forwards or backwards. Crazed types aim for the prays head.
Ghoul: Foul undead creatures often resembling humans. They mostly reside in graveyards but the crazed ones can be found in dark places. They priorities human flesh as their sole food.
Ettin: Has a form of two-headed giant. A savage beast, but capable of thought. When facing a threat, the two heads cooperate with one another but in other times, they argue and disagree with each other. Considers human and animal flesh as its food.

After reading the characteristics of the currently available rank D monster, I noticed something important.
There are apparently normal states and crazed states for some monsters. I think this means some of the monsters are natural in a certain condition and crazed in another. Or it can depend on the environment that they are in. I don't exactly know.
Something else I noticed is that we need to be aware of Ettins, since they have a big build and two thought processing minds. Now that I think about it, they can probably speak as well.
Suddenly, I hear sounds of screaming nearby.
I quickly turn my attention to the direction of the sounds and see four individuals getting attacked by two Yale. The moment I looked, one of the yale had bitten off the arms of a man around his thirty's. The man screams from pain and at that moment, the Yale jumps on its two back legs and decapitates the man in a split of a second. It then gulped down the head of the man like drinking water.
They waist no time and quickly kill the other three shocked and horrified individuals by decapitation.
The site was very gruesome and almost made me vomit, but I held my ground and let it go.
The monsters seem to enter the barrier without any problem, but on the other hand we humans can't get out of come in the barrier.
After observing a little, I get up and head over to Silvia. She seems to be a little disgusted by all the chaos that is happening.
Fortunately, we are all the way back from were the monsters are coming in so we don't have to get nervous or worried that much, but its best to be careful.
I check the time. It's 2:35 P.M. We still have a lot of time left until the stage is over.
"Hey, are you doing okay? I mean doesn't using a skill for a long time affect you?"
"Hey. No, not really. I'm feeling perfectly fine. He about you Leon? Are you feeling well? You were observing the people for a little while, so I thought you would be tired."
"No, don't worry. Its not like this is my first time doing that. You just keep your attention on the skill and I'll be on lookout. By the way, don't think of activating your sense skill, OK? It'll surely warn you down."
"Okay, its a promise!"
With a smiling face, I reply: "Thanks."
Currently, there seems to bad a lot of monsters coming into the barrier. But it hasn't reached us yet.
It's not good for us to keep up like this. There will surely be some people who's levels are higher by defeating monsters and since the events will get more difficult in the future in my opinion, its best to level up.
That's why now I'm trying to lure a ghoul that's nearby into Silvia's domain and kill it.
I succeed and manage to get it in. Before hand I told Silvia that I'm gonna try to lure in a monster for us to level up. She agreed and I told her that for the first one, she can paralyze it for me to kill it, and we would continue at this pace until the first stage comes to an end.
The plan went without a hitch and I killed the monster by stabbing it in the throat with my sharp branch. It was a little hard to get used to killing monsters though.
For as long as I can, I will try to level up myself and Silvia by playing it safe.
