The atmosphere is quite tense. I get that everyone present won't agree with this. I just need to get most of the people on my side.
I wait for their answers. After a few seconds, I hear a voice:
"I think he's right."
Shifting my head to the direction of the voice, I see the famous blond guy passing through the crowd and walking to my direction. He seemed to have been listening from afar. What an observant guy.
He lets a smile blossom on his attractive face as he says:
"Listen, dear people! This young man is right! If we work together, we can definitely survive this harsh situation we are put into! Please, let's work together!."
This is great! I don't care if he is plotting something, for now getting the majority of the people on my side comes first.
"Y_yeah, we should cooperate. Come on everyone! You know we don't have a glimmer of a chance of surviving if we start a conflict with one another."
"That's right! Come on everyone, you want to protect yourselves and your families right?"
"Yes, it's not a bad idea at all."
And like this, everyone came to an agreement. I'm happy with the results, but the fact that this guy saved me is kind of pissing me off.
The reason I don't like him is because of his face and expressions. To be honest, it's kind of because of my gut feeling. I don't know, there's just something off about this man.
We decided to settle in and prepare ourselves until the next stage begins. I need some rest. I'm both mentaly and physically at my limit. Silvia seems to be fine though. I Bet it's because of her high stats.
It's been almost an hour since our decision to team up. I'm trying to get some sleep. Most of the people are doing the same thing, especially the kids.
Speaking of the kids, I really do feel bad for them. I mean, I'm kind of in the same shoes as they are. Most of them want to get back to their family, And I want to do the same. Kids can learn from those who taught them. That goes for me as well. My family did teach me a lot of stuff but they didn't teach me everything I know. The environment and especially friends have the most impact on how a child behaves when they are adults. The reason I'm referring to this is because there is a possibility that a hidden jem is among the kids here. If I can find this special child and make myself an important figure in their life, my worries will be somewhat balanced.
Come on, I'm not going to ruin an innocent child's life for my selfishness. In my standards, that's going too far. But using them for some purposes is duable. I'll add this to my to do list on my messed up mind.
Silvia's spirit doesn't seem to be in this world anymore. She's spaced out while lying down besides me, eyes wide open. It's quite creepy now that I think about it.
"Hey Silvia. I'm going out to talk with the blond guy. If something happens, come call me ok?"
"Oh, ok. Come back safe." She says after gaining her senses.
"By the way, make sure to have your sense skill on ok? You know why."
"Sure." She replied.
After the agreement, the existing groups chose themselves a leader and a name. The biggest group present, the blond guys group, had chosen the name Sunseekers as their group name and their leader is Paul Robertson, the well known blond guy. The group consisting of middle aged adults with a mix of old people and their kids, were named United Terezies. Kind of a cringy name, I know. I hope they change it afterwards. Their leader is Asad Abdallah. He's a strange man. I should be wary of him. The other group consists of mostly old people. I'm Kind of surprised. I mean not to be rude or anything, but how are a bunch of old people going to survive this? Unless they have people with amazing titles and skills, they are most likely doomed. Anyways, their team name is lost treasures. Pretty simple, I know. The leader is Maxwell Sanders. From my first impression, he seems to be a nice guy. The final team that has teens, teenagers and some kids forming it, is named the survival rangers. The leader is named Violet Hooke. Being 19 years old, She seems to have a good sense of responsibility for her team.
I head to the meeting area of the teams which is in the center of the ruins. On my way there, I saw many things. Some people were trying to recover from the shock of the situation. Some were drowned in despair. Some others are still most likely testing out their powers.
The only important problem here is that we don't know what's ahead of us. Until now, we have only passed the first stage by luck. For all I know, the situation I described before the first stage began, which is me and Silvia encountering monsters way beyond our level, could come true and we all would have died then. It can be much worse in the second stage. This is actually the topic of the meeting I'm heading to now. We are going to discuss this matter to some extent and see what we can do. I would be very happy if Silvia could accompany me there for safety reasons, but this meeting is for the leaders only, with me being an exception, because of Silvia's power.
The reason why they didn't tell Silvia to come is that I lied to them about her being my distant relative and that she had depression. I know it's kind of rude to Silvia, but well it's for us both to survive. It was wise of me to tell Silvia to activate her sense skill. I can't have her dyeing. She's my lifelong partner after all.
After going past some remains of ancient buildings, I reach the discussion area. All the present leaders were there, sitting on ruined structures and had a few ruins cramped up together to form a table. It honestly felt old fashioned. I think it would be best if we didn't have a table at all. I went ahead and sat on one out of the eight chairs present.
The reason we have more chairs than five is that different teams have a special person that has an incredible title or skill at their disposal. They are going to join us as well. I haven't met them yet, but I know it's a good chance to have a look at them and see what abilities are useful. Maybe I can get them to be my ally.
"Hello everyone. Thank you for having me." I say.
"Hello Mr.Walker, thank you for coming." Says Paul. Why is he calling me formally?
"Hello my son, welcome." Says Asad Abdullah.
"Hello young man, we thank you for coming." Says Maxwell.
"Hey. Leon, right? Nice to meet you." Says Violet.
There are two empty seats at the moment. We agreed to come here in two hours, but I came here an hour early because I couldn't sleep. All the leaders being here means they really care about their team or possibly themselves. When I reached here, I saw they were talking to each other.
Know that I think about it, I don't know any of the leaders' titles. I'm an idiot! Why didn't I think about using my appraisal skill on these guys? Wait, now is kind of a perfect chance to do just that. I mean, we still have an hour to begin the meeting and it seems like they are not going to pay attention to me that much.
The only thing I can think about their abilities is that they must be strong to be chosen as the leaders. When I was observing in the first stage, I could see some people killing more monsters than the others by using their skills. Surprisingly, other than skills related to swords, I could see nothing else used to kill monsters back in the first stage. I didn't see even one person using a defense skill. It's really strange. Maybe most of the people were hiding their abilities like I have? Or am I just overthinking? Ok, you're dodging the main topic here Leon, focus!
For now, let me see the leader's abilities.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?"
What the fuck?
I turn around. My mind is so shocked I can't think of anything.
A girl in her teens is standing behind me.
"I know what you were going to do just now."
I don't move an inch. The leaders look at me with surprise. Shit, I might be in serious trouble right now.
