Chapter 12.5: The aftermath of the "encounter" (1)

The boy had left. The woman, Eowyn Amberhide was left there, alone, with her agony. It was not as if she didn't know the outcome of revealing a part of the 'truth' to the boy, but that she needed to. It was a part of her purpose, her life's mission trusted to her by the 'lord'.

"It succeeded this time, but it was too soon to tell him this in my opinion." She said, wiping off her tears.

"It's not like anyone is going to care anyway. I don't make the rules after all."

There was so much, so so so so so so so so so so so so so much he didn't know.

- It's early. Its too early.

She thought to herself.

After the boy took his leave, the mansion had turned to normal. The cabin, which was an illusion to cover up the building, had moved to another location, leaving her all alone, yet again.

"Maybe, maybe if they hadn't shown sign of intervention, he could have stayed... longer."

There was no doubt about it.

"No time to worry about that."

She desired company but that desire was a risk of loosing her 'purpose'. The purpose was a limiter to her awful desire but she didn't know that. She mustn't know that.

"Hm, they seem to have left with him. The property is safe for now, but there is no doubt he will have to come again. I must make preparations."

The things he carried with him were so salient.

"To the lord, the savoir, the holy, the immortal, the absolute, the rise and the fall, I pray to." She mumbled as she raised her hands to the light above.

"Protect, nurture and flourish the "Sinner". For he has not known the truth."

Then she went back, to what she had always done, to what she was shown and to what she will always, always do.
